:scared2:hi every one today i went for my third fill.he put in 1/2ccs.i am down two more pounds. i have the#10 band that holds 4ccs.it was no problem my doctor does the fills. before surgery i lost 40pounds after two weeks post-op i lost 19pounds.with today that makes 63 pounds overall. an the amazing thing is that i am losing more inches.because when i get on the scale it seems like its not moving but the nurse says i am doing great. that was good to hear.my appointment was at 11:40. it takes an hour bus ride from wtby to newhaven hope everyone is doing great in bandland my next appointment is may 9 so good luck everybody on our new journey in life.(sil).

i had to do both, first chemically, then the treadmill, i am sorry to say i have never been on a treadmill before an what a sight to see they gave me medicine to slow down my heart rate it was hard but i pass. i was like a new born baby trying to walk. so it was worth it i think you has to pass so many points.

you will be ok i gained 3lbs not after two weeks post-op but when i went for my first fill that was during the mushy stage i was eating mashed potatoes the nurse told me they had to many carbs.

Hi newhopemary thats not the case i had to do a six months dietian classes plus all the testing plus had to wait out the holidays so it took me from march 08-january 13th 09.thats my surgery date so it was 11 months to get where i am at today. wishing you the best in your new life journey.

hi i was banded january 13th 09. had to do six months dietian classes took me 11 months my list consist of free fluids (clear) water crystal light fruit20 sugar free popsicles fat free/low salt broth herbal tea (artifical sweetner)that was first 2weeks after surgery fluids with calories carnation instant breakfast drink or mix no sugar added ensure boost atkins ready to drink isopure in a bottle advantage carb control slimfast dont forget your vitamins for morning& noght i take flinstones chewables & viactiv chews twice a day.an i got a blender at jc pennys for $19.99 for a 17 piece set. aldi sell one foe $14.99 the magic bullet is to expensive for me.hope this help.

I had to do a six months supervised dietian classes. i started in march 08. had surgery in january 09.i had to do all the pre op testing.part of my problem was not making my own appointments i was waiting on the doctors office to do it for me.no you have to follow up on your own make sure you call them an ask is their anymore tests you need. then i had to wait because of the holidays. but in all i had it on january 13th.with no complications thank goodness. in all its took me 10months.good luck on your new life journey.

My (nsv) losing 40lbs while waiting on surgery from april08-january 13th 09. then going from size 32 waist to 26 from 4x shirt to 26/28. thought i would never like exercising lost the big stomach i had. geting compliments from people no more sweating in the winter&summer can climb the stairs without being out of breath just so many little things oh an i had a size 11 ring now i do not wear it because its to big got to have it resized i hope every one have a beautiful summer i wanna look good for the summer just to get out an do more things.

I lost 40lbs on my own during the six months supervised classes had to maintain it from april 08 until my surgery january 13th 09 no pre op diet went from size 32 pants to 26 from blouse size 4x to 26/28 people notice work out everyday can cross my legs they have gotten smaller lost 19 pounds first two weeks after surgery totals 58lbs so far no more sweating i am so proud of myself love all of you guys even though i don,t know you all i can go on an on but i am not.

The first two weeks after surgery i lost 19 pounds.during the mushy stage i gain 3 back.but lost it when i got my first fill plus another pound.

Decaf coffee was on my full liquids list.now i drink it every morning.

I use to love pork rinds before the surgery i use to eat the cracklins.i use to live in the south where they slaughter hogs and they use to cook the fat outside in a big pot an boy you talking about cracklins we use to make cracklin bread but after the band i tried some about a month ago an my goodness the pain. so no more pork rinds for me. but they are a treat.

I use to embrace the cold weather due to my weight because i use to sweat all the time in the winter could not wear long sleeves always short sleeve shirts because i was always hot. but after the weight loss i am always cold so i think it is due to the weight my feet is the first to get cold now i walk around the house with a jacket on.

Hi everyone hope things are going great. sorry its been a minute.during my twwo week check up i lost 19lbs. the next i gained three of those back when i went for my first fill, that was because i was eating maged potatoes.during the mushy stages then i went for my second fill i had lost the three i had gained plus one extra pound now i go for my third fill next month.so overall from april 08-march-09 the total is 58lbs.i am not going to get on the scale anymore until my doctor app. it is just to much. let me tell you about my first pb this weekend i was eating a piece of sauteed brocoli i knew it was a different feeling when it went down i was home alone the pressure was horror.it lasted about hour i never wanna experience that again first came the slime twice five minutes later came the broccoli then instant relief sorry to be so gross.glad everyone is ok.i live an hour away from the meeting maybe i will make one one night i live in waterbury i take the bus i don,t drive it will be nice to meet everyone. sil

Grits cream of wheat made with skim milk light yogurt sweet potatoes mashed cream soups refried beans oatmeal tuna i did yogurt with cottage cheese of you can do cottage cheese with sugar free jello. wishing you all the best. sil

:ohmy::mad2::eek:I was warming up some sauted broccoli.an i took a bite an when it went down i didn,t feel anything but as soon as i took bite number two i knew this was not gonna be good it felt different an hurt more it was just stuck like in my chest an it was a painful experience.it lasted for about half an hour i could feel it in my throat trying to come back up but it would not so i had to run upstairs to the toilet because i knew i was gonna throw up.when i did it was slime. it came up twice.it was gross the painful feeling was still there about ten minutes later the broccolli came up an instant relief. i would not want to experienced that again i could just feel it right their in my throat not going nowhere an the thing about this stuck feeling when it was happening i thought about everything on this site the people was talking about you guys was going through my mind. so this is what it is what a bad feeling my chest hurt like it was tighting upi could not do anything but let it run its course.i was home alone i was scared. for the resr of the day i did liquids i remember that an yogurt. but today i am feeling great thanks for letting me vent (sil). an stop&shop has yogurt on sale 20 for $8:00.until the end of the week.(dannonight&fit) but this morning shoprite has the same yogurt 20 for $4:00. did i get rip off or what. iwent an got 40.for $16:00.this morning i could have gotten 40 for $8:00 oh well it is still not to late but i have to first eat all 40 others. just kidding i would not be that greedy they are only 80 calories they are good. i have to go now wishing everyone well on our new journey in life.:thumbup:
