How often do you get fills?

I was banded on 3/11/09 and am scheduled for my first fill on 4/28/09. Just wondering if someone can let me know how often you get fills....every week, every month.....

Is there a "protocol" for how often you can go to "filler up?"

hi believe i just went today to get my third fill. i go every month today my doctor told me i have the #10 band that holds 4ccs.

I went every 4 weeks in the beginning. My approach was to have small frequent fills in hopes of avoiding any issues. Im currently filled to 9.2 cc in the large VG band. Im restricted to the point now where i can only eat about 3/4 cup of food at the most at once. I can still eat anything meat or bread or pasta wise but only a few bites, it works out perfectly.

This depends on you and your doctor. Most docs require 4-6 weeks between fills and as long as you are losing 1-2 pounds a week, don't want to do a fill, but that's just a rule of thumb, not a hard guideline.

HI! I too was banded on 3/11/09, i have had one fill already and i go back in two weeks for my second fill, and then every two weeks until I find my "sweet spot". I guess every doctor is different. I have currently 3.5 cc in my band. My doctor put 2 in at the time of surgery and then just got 1.5 more on April 13th.
