Hello All, I am soooooooo excited...today for the first time I have reached "onederland":biggrin::wink2: It took a while but I am FINALLY there..it is such a great feeling...I thought I would never see a 1 as the first number on the scale again..I actually dont hate the scale anymore..this surgery was definetley worth all it comes with...it is a hard road but as long as you are committed & determined you can succeed:smile:

I have been taking my pill since the day of surgery with no problem..it is so small that it is fine to swallow...

I was banded 7/22/09...i have lost 20lbs, BUT gained 2 back (I donr know why, I am geting very discouraged) I dont eat alot, I limit myself & eat small portions (could eat more but I choose NOT to) & I eat good foods, no junk, hardly no carbs, & I try to get my protein in as instructed (sometimes I dont get enough protein in, but most days I do).....I am hungry more often BUT not losing....I am very discouraged & hopeing to start losing again REAL soon...I go for my 1st fill next week.....

My Dr. said I could shower the next day after surgery but NOT to "submerge" (bath, or swimming) for at least 4 weeks after surgery.....I am missing the ocean & pool...the summer's almost over

I was banded on July 22nd and have been bleeding ever since...it seems to be getting worse instead of better, & I'm on the pill this whole time so I really should not be bleeding....I wish it would just go away already, Ive had enough............

Hello All, My surgery was 13 days ago, I had my first follow up appt. today & so far I've lost 20 lbs:smile: (which includes 1 week of pre-op liquid diet) I dont see any change anywhere yet but it will take time...I just hope the loss continues & doesnt slow up........ Good luck to everyone........

I would definetley call the doctor if its oozing..yellow usually means some sort of infection, its not worth taking a chance, if it is something you can get medicine asap........

Hello All, I am 8 days out from surgery & my pain has been minimal & I have been bragging to everyone how blessed I have been with such a great recovery...even my scars look good....except today I woke up with EXTREME port pain, it feels like its pulling & tearing....is this normal, has anyone else experienced this looking forward to some responses.......

I too sweat very easily, but I figured it might be b/c I am not really getting in as much fluid as I should be.....just my thought.......

.....wear cute/sexy clothes & look good in them .....run around outside w/ my kids .....not have to depend on some1 else to catch my 4 year old when hes running around .....have the scale be in "onederland" .....be able to see my feet when I am standing up & looking down .....READY TO LAUGH..to be able to when I take my kidz to the waterpark get in the tube at the "lazy river" & not fall over, to actually fit in the tube & sit comfortably & enjoy the ride....LOL the little things that mean SO MUCH ....to NOT have my 4 year old see his mom as "big & fat" :thumbup:

Hello all, My surgery is tomorrow, actually later today, I am scheduled to be in the hospital at 11:00 am for a 1:00ish surgery....I am sooooooooooooo scared....I am also having a hiatal hernia repaired & all the posts regarding these 2 done together is about HOW MUCH PAIN everyone was in after.....I expect pain but according to those who have gone thru it already it is BAD......Wish me luck for a successfull suregry with NO complications and not TOO MUCH pain....My poor children who will have to be around me while Im in pain... I"ll post as soon as I am able........... TTYS

I am ONLY on day 2 of a 6 day ALL LIQUID DIET....5 Optifast shakes (& they DONT taste good:thumbdown:..not even a little a day with only water or zero calorie beverage in between...NO FOOD AT ALL...OMG...I have not cheated...I keep asking God to give me the strength & willpower to get thru this & for my surgery to be successful..... Good luck to us all...........

The fatty liver is EXACTLT why you are on the liquid pre-op diet....It will shrink your liver so that they CAN do surgery, so if you get the urge to cheat just think that that could make the difference in the surgery not being able to be done....Stay focused..you can & will get thru this I am starting my liquid diet today:w00t: and I am so scared...I pray for my kids & my co workers who will have to deal with me & my moods during this trying time........ We can & will get thru it:smile: Message me anytime.maybe we can help each other thru this

Hang in there...you will get thru this tough time... You've made it this far, once you get over this bump you'll be okay....
