He was taught that everything could be handled if he took baby steps.
I've learned that I, as a VSGer, can handle anything so long as I approach everything with baby steps.
food? Slow and low. Excercise? Same thing. Cooking? Yup.
But planning? Intense...

Try the liquid over the powder. I can no longer stomach the powdered stuff (not after I saw the residue it left behind in some of my bottles...) but the liquid is the bomb.

Working on Lap Band to VSG revision here!
When I had the band in 09 I gave up soda for an entire year and then I just had one periodically. It never hurt and all the tests I've had to get the VSG have not shown a stretched pouch. I think the bubbles may upset the stomachs of some. I think the biggest reason is drinking your calories is not a good idea. Believe me I gained like 50lbs on liquids alone. The sugar in sodas caused me to crave more sugary things that would also just slide right through the band. I feel like the same could happen with VSG if I don't cut them out.

Nope. Not crazy. It's actually called ketosis. And it's a good thing! It also the reason for that nasty taste in your mouth that won't go away. It's your body using your fat stores instead of carbohydrates for energy which produces a build up of acids. They are secreted through your skin and breath. It's a totally normal metabolic process.

I'm gonna tell you a horror story. I had prostate cancer, had to have it totally removed. Well, since they took the prostate out, which is about 1.5 inches in diameter, Mr. Wilson decreases by the same amount! You are basically taking 2 inches of pipe off from the inside. Not only did taking the prostate out it embarrasses ya while making ya in employed.
Ps . It does add 2 inches to your tongue, so I guess things even out in the end.
