Er1n reacted to MarinaGirl in Nosey co workers
At my work, paid short-term disability is approved and managed by a separate company, so the paperwork the doctor signs goes directly to them, not to my employer. For unpaid leave, the signed paperwork from the doctor goes to someone in Benefits, not to HR or my supervisor.
Every company is different.

Er1n reacted to LittleLizzieLilliput in How did you handle changing clothing size ?
I work and so I can't have clothes falling off of me. I get 2 pairs of jeans, 2 t-shirts and 3 nice shirts along with a nice light cover-up jacket. I have now done this 3 times. I don't buy expensive stuff but I do go into the stores, I don't buy online as I have no idea what will fit. lol!
Oh, and I upgrade my undies and bra's MUCH more frequently. Sagging panties are the WORST.
Then once those start visibly being too loose, I go and do it again. I did it for my drop to 22 then my drop to 18/16 and now my drop to 10/12. It makes me feel great too.
I did buy a dress for a funeral. But it's all inexpensive stuff. I don't want to over do it so I limit what I buy but it feels great to wear a new size and feel like you are rocking it hard. lol

Er1n got a reaction from Julie norton in Stomach Ulcer - Long Term Complication
I didn't get an ulcer long term but at 2 months post rny I developed an ulcer for no known reason. I was on ppi. They tried max carafate for 6 weeks to resolve without success. I ended up having to have a bypass revision basically having rny all over again at 4 months out to remove the ulcer and make a new pouch.
tough times but I am doing very well now. I am 2 months post op of my second rny now. I am 100 pounds down.

Er1n got a reaction from LauriT in So, how much did you REALLY walk each day the first week?
As much as possible. I hag rny the fatigue didn't pass.for me until day one of week 3 (pureed foods for me). The day I started pureed foods my energy skyrocketed. Hang in there.

Er1n reacted to SLIMPICKENS55 in Sleeved on 3-6-17 have not had a bowel movement since. Have tried miralax for 2 days and today milk of magnesia. Still no luck. Should I be worried about this or does anyone have any ideas how I can get things moving.
After the day of movement for me , I was feeling fabulous and regular

I did the same. I kept my joggers that I wore to the hospital on surgery day.

Er1n reacted to blizair09 in Forgot i was on post liquid diet!!!
So being 100% devoted to your weight loss journey makes a person self-righteous?
-
Er1n reacted to _Kate_ in Forgot i was on post liquid diet!!!
Not sure where anyone said they were awesome. I answered a question with the truth. Does that really make me self righteous or does it make me a person who took the surgery serious and for ME that meant I stuck to the plan especially in the early months. I certainly wasn't judging. 😜

I've been doing pretty well so far (I'm 22 days out) even with cooking for my family; but last night I was mixing up some tea for my youngest and I tasted it (sipped) to see if I'd put in enough mix forgetting that it wasn't sugar free. All in all, I had less than a teaspoon; but I'm glad I caught myself. I also feel good that I wasn't tempted to continue drinking it once I realized it wasn't sugar free.

Er1n got a reaction from hajoura-sweet in I had the gastric bypass done a few days ago.
I had the same. That is the area that has the most trauma during surgery. It takes a little while longer to heal than other sites. Hang in there.

On my plan 3 weeks post op would still be puréed. Absolutely no rice or bread. Does your plan have those allowed or are you just having them?

@Jill_Me I never thought of that. It did strike me as odd that anyone would come home from major surgery and peel a orange and eat it.

This is too weird. Nobody even remotely should think of eating broccoli and cheese soup at 3 days postop. Seems fake, like this person is just trying to get attention. I've seen this kind of thing on a Facebook group I used to follow and the moderators would need to come in and stop comments (bc everyone would comment, either trying to help or bewilderment).
