  3. Yes. Each company is different but even if you provide your HR or benefits details they are bound by HIPPA and confidentiality.

  5. The leave paperwork if you're using short-term disability for FMLA it requires the reason. Yes it's completed by the doctor submitted to your work.
  6. HR will know due paperwork explaining the leave but it should stop there.

  9. Yes!! I was lucky that my first pouch was 6 millimeters (I think) leaving room for the revision. I didn't participate in any normal ulcer causing issues like caffeine, smoking, soda, alcohol and so forth.

  11. I didn't get an ulcer long term but at 2 months post rny I developed an ulcer for no known reason. I was on ppi. They tried max carafate for 6 weeks to resolve without success. I ended up having to have a bypass revision basically having rny all over again at 4 months out to remove the ulcer and make a new pouch. tough times but I am doing very well now. I am 2 months post op of my second rny now. I am 100 pounds down.

  13. I can't have caffeine until 6 months post op.
  14. Absolutely get a wheelchair, you will be on all liquids and have no energy. As for eating you won't really be hungry at that point. I'd say plan for Water and 1% milk (both you can get at the airport). Plan to have your protein before and after. Just my opinion. Keep it simple.
  15. As much as possible. I hag rny the fatigue didn't pass.for me until day one of week 3 (pureed foods for me). The day I started pureed foods my energy skyrocketed. Hang in there.

  18. I did the same. I kept my joggers that I wore to the hospital on surgery day.

  26. I had the same. That is the area that has the most trauma during surgery. It takes a little while longer to heal than other sites. Hang in there.
  27. At three months post rny I had lost almost 40 pounds. Four months more than 50. I started lower (244). Down 70 since surgery now (5 months). I didn't cruise but I did travel. I just took backup protein (shakes) just in case. I was more than ready by then. Good luck!
  28. Are you on blood pressure meds?
  29. I felt the same way until day 15 or the third week. Once I introduced pureed foods I had a lot more energy! Hang in there!!
