hi all, I had my 2nd fill last friday and I am feeling it, its not my sweet spot but I finally have some restriction and feel like I could start to really loose some weight now. Good luck everyone...

Dr. Machado rocks but her program fee is out of control. I was quoted almost 4000, she is worth it but that was too steep for me.

I have had a wonderful experience so far, no complicatiopns or needless pain. Just waiting for the right restriction...

Hi Linda, Thanks so much for your post, I needed it! Congrats on finding restriction, I am having my 2nd fill this Friday...and I pray for some restriction. I am not only hungry but I exercise like mad and nothing seems to be happening a few pounds since surgery but nothing signifigant yet. Your post was encouraging, thank you... Lana

LOL Mommie of 4, I can't and could not do that to another person, weight as we know is such a sensative issue. If she felt she needed it then she needed it... but I am not going to make it worse by telling her I thought she had a fat ass...lmao...no....just not my style....lol

OMG Blessed that sounds like my Ol' man, does not care what size I am just wants me to be happy and healthy. And your right at the end of the day I am the only one accountable for my actions and I needed to change because there should be more to life than work, smoking & eating... these are the three things I had energy for. I was denied 3 times before I got an approval, I just knew this surgery was for me. I visualized the end result and shortly there after received an approval by mail from insurance.

Well ladies I know, I mean I know there is hope... Just two short months ago I was locked in cigarette addiction as well as food addiction. The band has changed me, I don't crave cigaretts any more, I feel & look better and I work out daily...there really is no better feeling then how I feel right now....and I know its only going to get better.

As my pants get a little too big the waist does rub against my scar, it was red for about 2 days until I realized what was going on... as far as sex after surgery its fine...do it when you feel able.

The thing happened to me the morning I checked into the hospital the woman working the desk who took me back looked me over and said I really don't need to have the surgery, she said compared to her she needed it more...

I would love to be a part of the control group! I have been banded and have been thinking a lot about loose skin, for me it may not be a problem the first 50 pounds but what about after that? That to me is a complete unknown... I think I need to invest in a vat of coco butter, so far it has helped my scars tremendously.

Mammalovell, Don't give up, sometimes even doctors reallly don't understand this weight is not simply a problem of glutony but a serious problem with the hardwiring of some of our brains...forgive him for being absent minded and for that moment just realize he was careless. Continue your journey knowing that you are your only and best advocate. You can do it, no matter which path you choose. Best of luck Lana
