  1. He is the only straight man I know that can wear a blouse and high heels and be sexy!
  2. Welcome to the forum! Have fun reading past threads and creating new ones. Congratulations on your surgery date. That makes you a September Samurai! I will be banded 9/9. There is also a forum for sept. banders.
  3. OMG! Now that is just tragic. Do you think that she is afraid that you will be more successful in your wls? Anyway enough of her and cheers to you on your journey to being healthy!
  4. Since your band will be with you for a very long time, what will you name her? I think I might go with "Beyonce" I'll just call her "B" for short. So my short conversations would go kinda like this: "Beyonce is working this weight off of me" "B" is trippin' (when I'm pbing)" "Beyonce" won't let me eat that" "This is not in B's diet plan" ROFLMAO! (I got inspiration for this thread from another forum)
  5. awesome post! thanks a bunch for the input
  6. Way to go! I will pray for a safe and speedy recovery for you.
  7. like you, I am making prep for my surgery. What other things are on your shopping list? I actually bought a personal water cooler for my office that dispenses hot and cold water . I though that would be great for soup mixes and hot tea as well.
  8. Girl you are hilarious! Welcome to the group. I will be banded on 9/9. Holla!
  9. I have not been banded but I have thought about tummy noises. I have a friend that has had the gastric bypass and I have heard her tummy noises. I probably will play it off if not hey it is what it is....
  10. yettia it seems like u were banded just yesterday and now you r getting a fill? Wow! U go girl
  11. Dr bajaj found my hiatal hernia too. I actually had two endos in which they found a small cyst in my duodenum as well. It was biopsied and its ok. It may be your hernia.
  12. what about chewable?
  13. hmmm... I'm not sure. I gained 30lbs during my 6mos supervised diet (wonk wonk) so I started a self induced preop yesterday. I would like to lose at least 10lbs in the next three weeks. I guess in all I would like to lose 110 lbs. What about u?
  14. hi sis, I will be banded sept 9! Are u excited yet!
  15. Hey real you seem so spunky! I think that your personality shines through your posts. Greens and smoked turkey are the truth. Don't forget the texas pete hot sauce!

  17. So I guess thick and cheesy grits are out huh?
  18. Susan, I agree with you. We are not here for personal attacks. Period . I am embarrassed that I have been put in this situation. I am unsubscribing from this thread.
  19. I am sooo ready! I will see the nutritionist about 2 weeks before my surgery. I don't think my dr. does an extensive preop diet so I am gonna put myself on one starting this Tuesday (that gives 3 weeks before surgery). Here is my plan for my self induced pre op diet: Week 1: High Protein low carb (Atkins type); High Water intake Week 2: High Protein low carb ; " " " " Week 3: All liquid; high protein , low carb shakes I am soo open for suggestions on this!
  20. Has anyone tried this site (www.weightview.com)? Here's how it works: upload your photo and how many pounds you want to lose. In 24 hours it will send you back a virtually altered photo . The results are really good. I'm gonna find a photo to upload and then I'll post the link to my results here.
  21. There was some talk at the meeting this morning about psch evals. I have not been told that I need to do this. Should I be worried? Also, I saw on another thread where people were hit with surprise fees right before surgery. Has this happened to any of the patients here?
