  1. opps, she didn't show uo!
  2. This is my little love.
  3. I think its orthostatic hypotension. Means your pressure drops when you stand because more blood runs to your legs. You probably would notice the drop if you took your BP before and after standing. You should see your Dr and get your meds adjusted. Be sure you are getting all your fluids in.
  4. Welcome Smaller. There is a thread somewhere for over 60 that I like when I can find it.
  5. It doesn't sound silly at all. I think most of us have lost and gained back tons of weight in the past. I know I can lose but I also know that after a few weeks my body just rebels and the hunger is unrelenting, The band for me is to keep that from happening.
  6. I looked into bypass surg when I was 57 and was told I was 2 old so let it go. As soon as I heard about lapband I knew I wanted it. Just wish I could've had it many years ago.

We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. They are a hoot. The litttlest dog, an 8 lb maltese and the smallest cat wrestle all the time. They just love each other. They are always sneaking up and pouncing on each other. They tear around the house like crazy barking and yeowling. They take turns being the chaser. The older bigger dog, a bichon thinks its his job to make them behave keeps running to us tatteling. The older cat just ignores them all even if they run right over him. He is an escape artist. He gets out in the yard and jumps over the fence when we let the dogs out. Then he goes to neighbors and lays on his back in their driveways and cries until some comes out and rubs his belly. Hes white and very fat and very pampered but has the most pitiful cries in our neighbors driveways.
  8. Yes, it's bandsters hell and I'm there with you!
  9. i BELIEVE i HEARD the skin couldn't be used but don't know when or where Im heard that.
  10. I got the actitrainer yesterday and today is the first day I've used it. I'm having some trouble with the calorie part....finding the food I eat. For instance, it didn;t have slim fast on it's lists and I had homemade chicken chili for lunch and don't have the energy to figure out how many cal were in that. I might go back and call it bean soup. Another complaint...the arm band is too tight and it doesn't come with a waist band so if I want to wear it on my waist I will have to rig up something.
  11. I Liked The Plain Unflovored Best Because You Can Add It Ti Any Liquid And It Doesn't Really Change The Flavor..just Makes It Healthier
  12. Soon you will find more joy and pleasures in your life because you'll look and feel better. When you eat to live instead of living to eat, you will enjoy it more.
  13. I just got an actitrainer. It was a lot cheaper than the bugg. Today is the first day I've tried it. So far so good.
  14. Hi Georgia girl. My daughter is a medical transcrip for a company called Amphion. She works at home. Very flexable hours. They supply the computer and all equipment. She's sitting right here and telling me that 1st you have to know medical terminology. 2nd you have to be a very fast and accurate typist and 3rd you have be a good speller. She said to look at Amphion medical solutions to see if they noffer any training. (you can see why I don't do it)
  15. I'm trying hard to replace it with drinking water. It's going to take a long time to develope that habit.
  16. Aubrie, Try some v8 or fruit jc with unflavored protien powder. Put some regular soup in the blender. Have a cup uf hot broth. There are lots of things you can have becides shakes. Sharon
  17. I get my first fill Dec 11. I can hardly wait. I'm from WI, near Madison, just south of Wi Dells in Baraboo. Great place to live and visit. I've been divorced for 12 years. (he's an alcoholic) I live with my daughter, son-in-law, 2 gransons, 2 dogs (one is mine) 2 cats. I love living with them. I still work (RN) part time and am slowly trying to retire. I like my job but hate the long drive to work and hate getting up early. I had my surgery a month ago. Sharon
  18. Hi, It seems like most people feel pretty good after 4 days and very good after a week. You will have a few days of having a hard time getting enough calories and then probably be just right for about a week and then the hungries will hit and you'll be really hungery until you get a fill. Be sure you get 60 to 90 grams of protien every day. You'll do just fine.
  19. If you go to Obesity Help - Weight Loss, Surgery, Support Groups, Forums, Surgical Procedures You can find Drs that do it and how to contact them and everything you ever wanted to know about the band and links to all sorts of helpful places. Also places to order protien and other good stuff. Sharon
  20. Hi Teresita, If I were you I would post on Band2gether.com. They are much more suportive. There are some really nastY people on this board. I think for Christians, you will find a more loving, kind and supportive group there. I read this one sometimes when I have nothing better to do but some of the post sicken me. Yes, God is good all the time. Sharon
  21. I agree. What would nurses do without CNAs? A lot more running and lifting and clea-ups, that's for sure/ I've been a cna, an lpn and an rn. cna is the hardest. I' also an EMT. So I take my hat off to CNAs of the world.
  22. I was told by Dr to have 3 meals and 2 snacks.
  23. My Dr. tells us to take chewable flintstones. One in am and one in pm.
  24. I'm watching this show and it's unbelievable what these people are doing to themselves. I guess it's just featuring the cheaters (I hope there are some people there who really want help) I'm wondering who is paying for all these people to lay around in this nice looking hospital and get waited on and then have fast food and junk food delivered. I realize they have food addictions but I can't understand why they are there for help if they are going to rebel all the time. Is anyone else watching?

I have 6 kids, 4 kids in law and 13 grandchildren. I got so I hate Christmas. A couple years ago I started to buy everyone a 25$ gift card I buy couple each month . I have a dear dil that loves to cook so she has everyone at her house. My ex is there too and we all get along. It's so much better than when I had to buy a zillion gifts and cook all day and then clean for 3 days after. I don't decorate anymore either.
