Finally made my decision...New member!
Cat, Welcome and congrats! One thing I will say is you may still be on pain meds at that point so you will not be able to drive. I would plan for the following week. Also, that will give you time if you have complications. I did and there was no way I could go back in two weeks. Also, I am Sr. HR person with my company and a lot of companies have medical leave options if you are not yet qualified for FMLA. I had mine at 6 months. I know you are excited to have your surgery but make sure you plan for complications and contingency plans if you maybe not reacting well to the surgery. I did not tell really anyone at work, not even my manager. However, she did see my return to work note from the bariatric center.

Tomorrow is my day!
Good luck today!!! You will be fine!!!

period and surgery
I had mine during one of my surgeries. It is no big deal. They gave me these "sexy" hospital panties to wear. LOL

Feeling discouraged and just plain mad!
You are doing so well! Don't get discourgaged. Maybe it is just a hiccup in the process? Has something changed in the last two weeks or so? I know mine is really stress related.

No change in weight but inches YES!
congrats!!

getting discouraged
One day will be fine. All things in moderation. You are learning a new life style. :-) You won't gain all the weight back but you may have a blip on the scale. It's normal. Hang in there

I am so weak.
Typical. :-) Make sure you rest and spread your protein out through the day. I would get fatigued even two months out. It gets better. I am about 3 1/2 and I feel great but once and a while and I get fatigued when I really push it on the weekend or when I travel for work.

Dumping delay?
Sugar is not really my trigger either (darn it). Honey and fats/rich foods can make me sick. From what I understand you can dump 12 hours or more later. I know I have eaten the wrong item and have been really fatigued the next morning or running to the bathroom.

Post op 8 weeks help !
Yep I gain a pound or two all the time. Right now I am up a pound. It is just your body adjusting. Don't worry it will come off again. Also, along with salt and water retention, watch your "bathroom" habits. I know TMI but that can make a HUGE difference.

Horrible Stomach Pain.
Oh Dear! I had a closed off intestine with a staple so I know how bad that can bee. UGH I so hope you feel better soon.

getting discouraged
I had to drop to 1200 calories a day and did high protein low carb. I never have cut out all carbs ( I refuse to cut out fruit and veggies) but I will say any white sugar/white bread and I stop losing and usually gain a pound or two even after surgery.

How long till i can dye my hair ?
I was never told that I couldn't. I did mine at about 6-8 weeks. I had colored mine right before surgery.

Starting to go back to the gym
G2 Low Cal helps with energy for the gym. Also, some people split a protein shake on either side of the workout.

Spanks undergarment to hide the loose skin
I'd go somewhere that will let you try them on. I have tried it but I need to loose more weight. Right now it helps my tummy but the ones for the thighs (which I need the most) just pushes it out below the Spanx. Didn't notice it till I sat down in my skirt. You would see the line. UGH

Syntrax Nectar
I really hated the 'clear' ones too. But I LOVE the Nectar Chocolate Truffle that is in the sample pack. I found I could mix a little in with other simialr regular drinks like crystal light but for the most part I just didn't use them. I still have a bunch if anyone wants them. lol

Eating a lot
It does change at about 6-8 weeks it seems. But the liquids do help. The swelling has gone down so you can eat a little more.
