  4. Welcome! Everyone is so supportive and kind here.
  5. I think mine will be chicken pasta diablo form a local place. It is to die for and they have the best antipasti salad and fresh Italian rolls.
  6. Wow this string brings the reality of our lives back. As happy as we are on this journey we are all scared. Kids have a way of looking at reality. We will be fine and healthier but it's still hard.
  7. What does the pre surgery diet consist of? I know high protein low carb but any details? I want to start getting in the groove now and stocking the frig/freezer. I couldn't get my first nutrition appointment until 8-16. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  8. I think it depends on where it is located. Chest maybe ok. Arm oh lord. Lol. I would use a firming face cream on it while you are losing.
  9. Yea! Better it's quick. Less time to mourn food.
  10. I have decided not to tell anyone about my surgery. Only my hubby and BF (who had it last year) will know. And the Dr. of course. My mother would have a stroke and others are so ignorant I don't want to deal with it. I am also terrifed. I have never had surgery or been on any pain meds before. I am afraid they will scare me out of it. I know my employer LOA dept will have some of the details but I have just telling my manager it's surgery. Thoughts?
  11. My good friend uses Splenda all the time and is fine. We all have different bodies but this seems to be a consistant.
  12. Wow Hang in there. It will pass and will become a thing of the past. :-)
  13. Congrats! and good luck! The first hurdle is over.
  14. Great to hear! Mine should be in next week. Thanks
  15. Hang in there! I am scared too but I have a friend who did this last year and it is so worth it!! We are here for you!
  16. Sounds like a good idea. Good luck!
  17. Will you miss the most but do not want to ever eat again? A little food funeral... Mine is ice cream! I LOVE it and will miss it on summer days but I have eaten enough in my 40 years and do not need it for the next 40.
  18. Ah ok! Not there yet but fingers crossed. Thanks!!!
  19. I'm in HR and I would at least have the paperwork ready to go for fmla. God forbid but if you have complications then he would have to "call off" work and would not be protected.
  20. My local hospital is saying six months for diet and classes. My insurance is saying three month prep? Just curious. Would love to have the surgery before the end of this year.
