  1. I am feeling the same way! Surgery is tomorrow and I feel like I should have all of my affairs in order...even though I am only 27 and my surgeon said I have nothing to worry about. No high blood pressure, chloestreol, no diabetes. But it doesn't mean I am not nervous. If you feel better getting everything figured out, do it.
  2. I hope you feel better soon sweetie!
  3. I am afraid of the same thing. I am a D now, but I think its all fat. I had a freak out moment with my boyfriend a few weeks ago. I was all like , "Will you still love me when my boobs looks like empty sausage casings?" Boyfriend got wicked points when he replied, "I will love you no matter what your body ends up looking like. I'm not going anywhere" LOVE HIM!!!!
  4. you are in my prayers. keep the faith. you will do amazing
  5. Good luck! We will be thinking about you.
  6. I am feeling the same way...but on the flip side I am so ready to get off this pre-surgery diet. I am tired of feeling hungry all the time. And I am excited to cook from my WLS cookbook after my 5 days of full liquid. Who would of thought I would be excited about pureed food? We can do his Aug 15th girls!
  7. Thanks hon! I am not telling my family or bf how much I weighed in the begining until I am down 150 lbs, lol.
  8. but it needs to be crushed, right? to help me take pills when I was younger my mom would put the pill in a teaspoon of grape jelly (not the healthiest way to do things, lol)
  9. Feel better sweetie! Did your Doc have you on Prilosec?
  10. Congrats! Enjoy your facial/massage. I am about to have surgery on Wednesday...do we count from weight the surgeon weighed us at or from our surgiversary?
  11. I was told I will need to take prilosec after surgery. How terrible is the crushed meds? Can I put the pill in a bite of jello or something to slide it down?
  12. First off, way to go!!!! I used to do MFP but when it kept yelling at me for not intaking 1200 cal a day I quit. According to my doc everything you put in your body should be under 10 grams of sugar and under 10 grams of fat per serving. Depending on your height your protein should be between 60-75 grams a day. any more and you can have kidney issues. But you are doing soo amazing!
  13. I will be excited to buy the cute bras that someone my age (27yrs old) should wear...not the granny bras.
  14. LOVE!!!!!! I have a few tats planned for after surgery...I currently have 11. How many do you have?
  15. We don 't have a Trader Joes near me...but I am Italian and very good at making meatballs, lol. So I think I will try this after surgery. Thanks for the recipe!
  16. We have a whole group having thir surgery on the 15th! We should start a sub-group, lol
  17. you look fab darling! Congrats!
  18. I am starting this journey with weighing 415 lbs. I am now down to 381 with the presurgery diet...and surgery is less than a week away. We can do this! Just believe in yourself and keep in touch. Us big girls gotta stick together!
  19. You are so welcome! We will be under the knife at the same time. I have to be there at 6:30 am and surgery is at 8:30am. Are you super excited yet? I am so anxious....but excited as well
  20. Don't know how much you like to cook...but I also bought a wonderful cookbook called Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery. The author had the LapBand and all the recipes have been tasted and tested...and pureed. Each and every recipe has instructions for LapBand, RNY and one I never heard of called BPD-DS. And she worked with her nutrionist so its all low fat, low carb high protein.
  21. I love scallops! Thanks for sharing
  22. I know we have established this but my surgiversary is the 15th like you! I am super excited for us. lol. In my freezer I have the before mentioned sf pops, sf yogurt, sf pudding, sf jello, low sodium fat free chicken broth, protein powders, unsweetened apple sauce. For after the surgery you should greb "Eating Well After Weight Loss Surgery" best...cookbook....ever! I am actually excited about the pureed food stage just so I can start making some of the soups and meals. Good luck hon and keep in touch. Do you know what time your surgery will be?
