  1. Idk if you want to know all if this but I've worked in an OR before. Most of laparoscopic surgeries the patient is already positioned and draped head to toe by the nurses before the doctor comes in to the room. The drape has to be there before they can start an the docs usually just talk to each other in the hallways while the nurses, techs, and anesthesiologist are setting up. And they don't care. They see naked bodies every day. Just wait till your one year follow up and then you can wow him!
  2. I got some nectar Fuzzy Navel. I'm going to have that for at least one meal -I'm thinking lunch to space out the solids and it's actually good! It's thin and goes down pretty easy. The guy at The Vitamin Shoppe told me that if you buy there and don't like the flavor you can return it which is good since it's so expensive. I know it's not food but at least it will help with the protein/hydration!
  3. I got a little desperate last night bc of feeling so crappy. Even though I've got about 8 kinds of protein at home -most of which I can't tolerate anymore- I went to get some Nectar. I just tried the Fuzzy Navel for breakfast and it's defnitely doable. Can hopefully get more liquids and protein in with it. The Vitamin Shoppe sells it and they told me if you don't like the flavor, it can be exchanged for a different one. Plan B would be to try the Lemonade Flavor.
  4. Sugar free ice pops all weekend sounds good! Maybe go back to broth too. Good luck!
  5. I'm in the same boat. Just can't get the shakes down like I used to. Can't stand isopure either. I eat a few baby spoons and then so full. Too full to even get my water in. I'm thinking about going back to full liquids for a few days and just forgetting about food.
  6. Wow the loss definitely shows! Congrats!
  7. I had a half-caf sugar free hazelnut skinny latte today which I used to live off today and it tasted terrible. Ive been drinking my decaf black tea daily or echinnacea tea and love it. I was honestly disappointed when I realized coffee didn't taste good anymore

My first puréed food was a breadless crab cake in the food processor!
  9. You are in my prayers and soon this will be just a blip in your memory!
  10. Lol you don't want a hernia! Enjoy swimming it's my favorite!
  11. I was told only 100% juice diluted either half or 1/3 juice 2/3 water. Even though it's natural it's still sugar and calories.
  12. It's an Italian ice franchise and so good!
  13. Wow congrats! You are looking great!
  14. We don't have a 7-11 for like 30 minutes around here but I can't wait to try a sugar free Rita's ice! Oh and gold peak makes a good diet sweet tea that doesn't have lemon in it and tastes like sweet tea from when I lived in Georgia!
  15. The guys nailed it. Have faith that if you are doin as instructed with regards to diet and exercise you will lose. The surgery is working. It is hard when it slows down and your expectations don't match up with your current rate. Be positive, have faith, and hang in there! You will be reaching your goal before you know it!
  16. I agree that you should try to eat slower. Was always told that a meal should take 20-30 mins and no more than 1/4 cup. A good way is to do a crossword, word search, play on your phone, etc in between bites. When you start on more solid foods you will definitely feel full. Hang in there!
  17. Wow the weight loss is very obvious! You are doing amazing! Glad you are so energetic, give me some of yours - now that I'm back to work, I'm exhausted! Keep up the great work and keep us posted you really are doing well! Isn't it great to put on a piece of clothing that used to be tight and looks great now?!
  18. I miss coffee so much and still have a bunch of starbucks gift cards left over. What kind of things can you order that are rny friendly? thanks!
  19. One of the other posters on here just posted this pic! She said it was on pintrest but you could figure it out by the pic.
  20. If you are worried about dumping, try a low carb cake mix and just take a bite or two that doesn't have icing on it?
  21. Welcome! The more the merrier! Please join in the convo!
