  1. Wow, that's crazy. Go to the doctor!
  2. Congrats. The first few days are the worst.
  3. Woo hoo great job. I was a huge dr pepper addict before. Those first couple of weeks are the hardest.
  4. I walked / jogged a mile this morning and another this afternoon. Tomorrow I am going swimming.
  5. Electrolytes and vitamin deficiency
  6. I have been on these forums for almost two years. I like sharing the knowledge I have gained from my creeping lol.
  7. Whats the fat content of the soup? When I was starting out everything that was above like 5g of fat would make me sick. You might be eating too fast. Or too much. Take it slow and listen to your body.
  8. That's odd. My doc had me on Protein as soon as I was home. Every doc is different. Good luck.
  9. Powder, I mix it with skim milk, and hazelnut sugar free flavoring.
  10. I have two lists, one for total weight, and another for surgery weight.
  11. I have been using body fortress whey protein, 30g per scoop and easily enhanced with sugar free coffee flavorings.
  12. Water weight, and you probably still have gas from the surgery. It'll take a few more days for your body to adjust. Keep drinking your water, and getting your Protein in. Walk around a little bit more. And most of all, STAY OFF THE SCALE! At least for the first couple weeks because there is so much fluctuation, it will only hurt you. Give yourself a couple weeks, and don't get discouraged. Get the numbers out of your head.
  13. I didn't have a catheter in my surgery, I asked my doctor about it recently, and he said that he only puts them in if the surgery lasts longer than 3 hours. My surgery was only 2.5 hours. so I dodged a bullet. As for the hospital stay, Take a couple pillows, and a blanket. Hospital beds suck, the mattress is very thin, and my butt was sore by the middle of the night. Put a couple pillows down and it will be much more comfortable. Also, take chapstick, my mouth got super dry. But all in all, it wasn't that bad.
  14. There is this thing call the 5 day pouch test, Google it. It helps you re-set your pouch in a way.
  15. Everyone is different, if you have more weight to begin with you will lose more in the first couple months.
  16. Grats on your date! You'll do wonderful.
  17. Yep, I was also borderline diabetic when I had my surgery, and I was only 20 when I got that diagnosis. It's terrifying, but after surgery, the 2 week post op appointment my sugar was 100% normal. Along with my blood pressure, this surgery is a blessing in more ways than just weight loss.
  18. Totally normal. You'll be really tired while your body adjusts to the trauma from the surgery, along with the adjusted intake. Just keep up with your Vitamins and Water, and try to hit your Protein. Also, I know walking hurts like a bitch right now, but try to move around some, it will help with the pain and some of the energy. Best of luck.
  19. Hey! I'm 21, I had my surgery in April, I'm down 92lbs. Learning your new body is a crazy roller coaster adventure, and you needs support, Feel free to message me, either of y'all, for advice, or just someone to chat with.
  20. Also, she can apply for student loans, (they are a pain in the ass and if she can get grants or scholarships to cover I wouldn't do it) I'm paying for school with loans, because I don't qualify for any grants (my parents make too much). Also have her to talk with a financial aid adviser at the school, they can help find a bunch of options for her. And also warn her about the dangers of F*cking up the first semester, she can get all of her aid taken away with just one mistake.
