  1. I'm having really weird jitters...Lol. They usually wake me up out of my sleep. The latest is that my surgeon is VERY handsome! I don't want him feeling on my fat rolls in my anesthesia induced sleep.... Can't wait until this is over, these weird jitters are killing me! Lol
  2. They told me I'd pretty much be in a hospital gown the whole time.
  3. I feel you on that, bit every pound you've been losing, I've been gaining. I've totally succumbed to the "last meal syndrome"!
  4. It only took a day for them to let me know I was approved after they submitted to insurance.
  5. Yayyy....Awesome!!!! I also wanted to know if you have any hanging skin issues?
  6. 9:30 Monday morning. I do believe I will be the first surgery of the day. I'm very excited about getting it done! The only question that I have had playing over and over in my head is "What if it doesn't work for me?" Other than that, I'm good. My mother had her surgery on July 9th.. She'd lost 22 lbs at her two week check up. I'm just hoping I do well also.
  7. Yeah, from what I hear, walking is the best medicine. Another member suggested baby gas drops.
  8. I was thinking the same thing...It sucks, but it should get you where you need to be.
  9. I'm going to be exercising my butt off! (literally!) I'm expecting the worse, but hoping for the best. I'm okay with it if it does happen. My doc told me that my insurance pays for some of the procedures after wls.
  10. My mom's homemade German chocolate cake...I'm slobbing out of the mouth as I'm typing!
  11. 8lbs towards a healthier you!
  12. I've told family. I personally should have kept it to myself, but they are the types that will say I'm dying of some type of disease if they saw me losing weight fast. I agree on being truthful about it, but it's ultimately my body, my choice, my decision & it's what "I" have to live with for the rest of my life.
  13. My mom just had both procedures on the 9th. She said that the pain from the rny area is worse than the gallbladder. Her two week appt. was yesterday. She's lost 22 lbs already! 14% of her body weight.
  14. I've been having a lot of people uneducated on the procedure try to down me for my decision. Sometimes, educating them is worth it, others not. But it is something how you're given their opinion like it really matters to you. If it mattered that much to you, you would have asked for it before you decided on the procedure.
  15. Welcome, and congrats to a new lease on life!
  16. I am another that suffers from panic disorder. I've been ecstatic about the surgery, and thought I was doing great with the pre-surgery anxiety. Then I started having panic attacks in my sleep. I see my psychiatrist tomorrow for a med tweak.
  17. Too funny! Thank you! I did my own makeup. I've worked as a makeup artist also. I love it!
  18. I've been tearing food up! I had my pre-surgery testing yesterday. When I was weighed, I realized why my knees have been screaming lately. The doctors do advise against it, but I take it as a mourning of sorts.
  19. I was in a car accident a couple years ago and the paramedic yelled, "I need help!" when he was trying to put me on the stretcher. Like 3 more guys came to help..
  20. Me at 300 for a plus size lingerie shoot.
  21. My alcoholic stepmother just told me I'm taking the easy way out by having rny. I almost started crying because she was being so harsh. Then I thought, well, drinking alcohol and beer all day everyday is taking the easy way out of life... And with me having irritable mouth syndrome (anything comes out...no filter at all, lol) I told her I felt the same way about her. So now I'm a troublemaker! lol This is going to be very strange when I lose weight. The "FAT GIRL WITH NO FILTER" has always been my catchphrase. Now I have to come up with a new one!
  22. I've talked to so many friends that have had lap band and most have said if they could do it over again, they would choose rny.
  23. My doc gave me the choice since my insurance pays for all 3, but he told me he really recommends rny for me because he believes I will be happier with the results. Honestly, we all want to be skinny and svelte, but I am ready to be healthier more than anything. So, if rny is going to do it, that's the choice for me.
  24. Lol!!! Well, I guess it's going to be another body part I'll be folding while I'm putting clothes on.
