  1. Got my bodybugg today. Holy crap, there's a lot of stuff to figure out. My armband is beeping at irregular intervals - have no idea what that's about yet; not sure if I've figured out the little wristwatch that goes with it; took about an hour to figure out why I couldn't get onto the right internet site (there was a wee, teeny, weeny "next" button way at the bottom of the screen I kept missing.) Gee, can you tell I'm not very computer/gadget friendly? haha. Once I figure it out, I'm sure I'll enjoy it. Gotta call my friend who has one and seems to know what the heck to do with it. Since having it on at 9 p.m. this evening (it is now 12:00 a.m.), I have burned 196 calories (1.2 calories/minute) from doing nothing but sitting on my butt! haha Any other bodybugg users out there?
  2. Now I've got a question. What's tahini?
  3. I have absolutely no willpower at all either - over anything bad really. I've decided dh needs to do the grocery shopping from now on because just the other day when I went in I got something I shouldn't have. I'm just not strong enough - yet.
  4. I think that's great. I used to do all kinds of handiwork when I was younger and the key to good stuff is clean hands - so you can't be eating chips and crocheting or doing needlepoint or else you'll get all the oil from the food onto your work. By the way, my old gym teacher (a man) used to do needlepoint. I've been thinking of taking something like that up again. I've been on this computer ALL the time!!! And I got the bodybugg today, so I plan on checking that out all the livelong day.
  5. Hi everyone. It's a month today and can't wait for some restriction. I hope my first fill does give some restriction, I know sometimes the first one doesn't. I'm quite happy with the weight loss so far. Today I went out for lunch to a pizza place and WOWEE I didn't even have pizza - just had the salad bar - some cottage cheese, potato salad, boiled egg. I'm sure the person I went with couldn't believe it but was too polite to say anything.
  6. Even still, I think that's a great idea. I'm naming mine Dragonlady.
  7. I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same. There's now so much variety of foods, and if I can eat jello or pudding why can't I eat ice cream? It's very hard to resist going back to the old ways, the old habits. I'm scared if I begin, I won't stop and it will be the same old story.
  8. Tulip, like how soon after surgery are you talking?
  9. The only thing that ever helped with my acne was going low-carb. Right now with all the protein I'm getting in I'm finally acne-free in I don't even know how many years.
  10. So, did you make it through? How are you doing today? Is it getting better? The Protein shakes should help with hunger. Linda
  11. I LOVE the show, but I have seen a few of the old contestants and some have gained a noticeable amount back.
  12. What about putting the oil on a cracker and let it absorb the oil.
  13. What about putting them on a cracker?
  14. That's right! Just one more thing to blame our parents for. :biggrin1:
  15. I think somebody else might have already posted this - but when is everyone's first fill? Mine's next Tuesday! eeek
  16. AHHH, I'm at 200 today!!!! Can't wait to see the ones again. It's been a while.
  17. Hmm, I'm not sure. Would there even be a "heck". I mean, isn't that getting a little religious now?

Oh, man, I'm finding that out! I've really had to cut out the, "Oh, MY GOD's!!!" when I'm in public here. haha I have a very loud voice when boisterous and have caused quite a few dirty looks my way. I'm learning though!
  19. Ingy - yes, exactly. Think of a statement like, "It's cold out." Canadaspeak it's, "It's cold out, eh?" Statements turn into questions. Green - Thank goodness I've found you! You're my little piece of home. Don't go anywhere. (sniff sniff - me homesick)
  20. That's so funny! That's exactly how I feel. :biggrin1:

I have swatted my son once in a while, and felt quite bad for it, but after a long line of other discipline tools that didn't work, I had to resort to something. I don't think it should be done every week or even every month - but when they're totally out of control and nothing else works ... I must say since I moved to Arkansas I have been freer in the spank mode - it's very prevalent here compared to where I lived in Canada. I even saw a BILLBOARD, if you can believe it, all it said was, "Spare the rod, spoil the child," with the Bible verse underneath it. I couldn't believe that - like someone felt the need to ADVERTISE this!! How sick is that?
  22. One teaspoon? That's it? Are you sure?!! hahaha
  23. Oh God, I love your posts! You should really think about journalling and writing a book after this whole experience - you're very good at describing things. Sorry, that's probably not what you want to hear right now. It'll get better in a few more days. Not a lot better, but a little!

Yes, that's also why I swore I would only work for myself from now on. I don't think I'll ever go back to a setting where I have to work with other women - EVER!!
