I get a twinge every now and then in that position (also a fav ) But, if it is more than twinge, I would ask the dr. If it makes you feel any better, I hve to ask my obgyn about this uncomdfortable pain in my lower abdomen during an O...woohoo! Rain

Since starting to lose, I have felt various body aches that I am not used to feeling. I have an ache in my arm, and some residual leg pain... Is it normal to feel different aches and pains that you're not used to feeling??? Do you think this has something to do with less padding??? Thanks, Rain

It has got to be a terribly hard decision...my only thought (to play devil's advocate) is that in one of your posts you mentioned that you just told her about it a few days ago and a day later she wanted the surgery. As you are aware, it is a major surgery and not something to be jumped in to lightly. I'd like my child (and my husband, when he was banded complied with this as well) to research every avenue and aspect prior to jumping into a surgical decision. I don't think there are many of us on this board who decided overnight to be banded. Just my two cents...I wish you and your daughter much luck as you go through this process. Rain

I was eating my lunch and I felt the tightness in the back of my throat..waited a little and then took a sip of Water...I could feel it just sitting there...actually intensified the pain a bit...not fun.. Well, anyway...I bent over to pick up one of the THOUSANDS of toys on the floor and the water rushed back into my throat and a little of it got into my mouth.. Ok...yes, that was gross...but it was also really kind of cool. Like an anatomy lesson. Has this happened to you??? Rain

That is wonderful!!! Collarbones are exciting...last night I was lying in bed and realized that my ribs stuck up higher than my tummy. WOOO HOOOO!!!! Of course, that's only when I'm lying down...but it's a vast improvement! Best of luck and continue to enjoy those NSVs. Rain

Hello all, Thanks for the warm welcomes. I appreciate being accepted. I had my first fill today and look forward to getting even more weight off.... As for being 6ft...yes...it does have it's own set of issues...but, it's also helped me. Rather than seeing myself as fat, I've always thought of myself as tall...and it's pretty much the first thing I tell people if we are meeting for the first time...It's who I am...whereas my weight as never been who I am...just a symptom!!! :cool: Thank you again! Yes!!! On particularly frustrating days with my kids...I notice a lot of restriction...it's so annoying because I normally feed myself when upset and then even that isn't working for me...which, I suppose, is a good thing since I shouldn't be stress eating... Lorraine

I experience this as well. Not often, in fact my husband seems to have it happen more than I, but often enough. Most of the time it is if I am sitting and my pants waist hits my port...but I've also noticed it bending down to pick up my kids... I think it is relatively normal! Rain

Hello ladies, I don't fit into this thread as I have just had my first fill today...but I would like my husband to come here and join you. He's been banded for 6 months and has been playing with the same 10 pounds for two months or so. He's frustrated with the food he's eating and frustrated by his weight loss (72lbs as of today...) While 72 seems great, he can't get past the number looming in the distance...basically, another 100 pounds. He also set huge goals for himself and is so upset that he is not hitting them. So, I'm going to wish you all luck and hope for you that you find your support on this thread...and I am going to email this to dh (Squale)...as I think it is important to find your niche on the boards....and this may be it!
