Hot Port

All these months later, and I'd never know I have a port - can sleep on my side, bend, have my full range of motion, etc. However…everyone once in a blue…I'll cough, or sneeze or move a certain way - and I feel almost a 'hot pinch'. ***and if i've 'grazed', I notice a pure pressure sensation. Anyone else? Thoughts?

I asked my nurse about the same thing except I described it as a shock. She said not to worry it's the permanent stitches holding the port in place being pulled. Normal and nothing to worry about.

I experience this as well. Not often, in fact my husband seems to have it happen more than I, but often enough. Most of the time it is if I am sitting and my pants waist hits my port...but I've also noticed it bending down to pick up my kids...

I think it is relatively normal!

I am having that right now and kinda scared. I am having lots of pain around my port. Like when I first had the surgery, for know reason. I am a month out of surgery now, but just started to feel port soarness again! Any thoughts? Thanks for the response. CG
