Is it harder to lose the second half of your weight
I think it's always harder to lose the closer you get to your goal, even without the band. I too lost weight faster in the first 3-4mos. After that it was 10lbs here and 10lbs there, but I finally lost 100lbs. Now I have been struggling to lose the last 10lbs to reach my goal weight. I guess if I never lose that last 10lbs I would still be happy with where I'm at, but I set my goal and really want to reach it. Ya know? Good luck to you and don't give up! Joanie )

How to shrink a streched pouch?!?!?!?
I have an appt next week for a fill with the flouro. (it's been 2 yrs since my last flouro) and I am curious as to the size of my ouch. My upper abdomin seems to bulge out alot, especially after I eat or drink...I'm hoping all is okay, but am thinking about trying the 5 day pouch test just in case.

Can you FILL me, I need some help?
 You could have been eating too fast or not chewing long enough....How much did you get down before the problem started, could you have just eaten too much? With the restriction we have to be careful not to do those things. Any trouble with liquids? Maybe you're too tight? Just throwing in my 2 cents worth. Been there, done that, ya know? Joanie

Cosmetic Surgery and an Unfill??
I just now saw your thread...I did not know about an unfill before my procedures, but had absolutely no probs what so ever. How did it go for you? Hope you had no complications. Good luck, Joanie :mad2:)

May 06'ers
:crying: I'm almost to goal, and have had a tummy tuck, breast lift and arm lift. The arms are still healing, (only 2 weeks since surgery) but I think I will really like the way they'll look. I'm really feeling great about what I've accomplished alot since my banding and although some may say I've "cheated" or some other remarks ....I don't care, cause it was still alot of work on my part. You all know what I'm talking about, right? Well, anyway, I'm still here and "Feelin' Great" later, Joanie )

What do you take for cramps?
Ask your dr about a prescription drug called Ponstel...It worked for me when I got cramps and now my daughter uses it for hers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mefenamic_acid

Anyone else drinking while eaing?
Not me, my dr said not to drink for at least 1 hr after eating and I've stuck to that.

Loose Skin!
You are young so your skin should have enough elasticity that it won't sag, depending on how much weight you lose and how fast you lose it. I'm in my fifties so I had some cosmetic surgery done to get rid of mine. I feel great!

Feeling Hopeless
I didn't have any problem changing drs., but I may not live where ever you're from. It may be different there. Give it a try, ask on here if anyone knows of a good dr in your area....you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. ( or should I have said lose ...haha) Joanie :sneaky:)

Questions for a newbie.
I was 52 when I had my lapband and I had no problems. I did not need a stress test before my surgery as I was self pay. I have had a stress test since and I can tell you the treadmill is not hard at all. In fact it was almost hard for me to walk that slow. They added some speed, but as soon as I felt like it was too much they turned it down. I was only on liquids the day prior to my surgery date and of course for the first 2 weeks after my banding, but I didn't have any trouble. I drank high protein shakes and broth type soups as well as water. I wish you all the best and feel confident you will do great. Joanie :sneaky:)

Anyone go to Dr. Bono, Hazleton, PA
My sister sees Dr. Bono. She actually had her banding done in Texas, but living in Pa she had no choice but to find a dr up there. She seems to like him and his office people. Good luck, Joanie :sneaky:)

Self Sabotage- Are you guilty?
This article and the many replies were so very informative. I too have been guilty of the whole self sabotage thing. I am almost 3yrs out and have just this week finally past the 100lb mark with only 9lbs to go to my goal, although I don't really think that goal is as important to me as it once was. I get stuck alot and have to throw up more than I should, but have only myself to blame. I sometimes feel like I haven't learned a damned thing about my eating habits in almost 3 yrs. Thanks for being there for all of us! Joanie :sneaky:)

Feeling Hopeless
Hi there, I read how desperate you are, but I am also confused...your signature, if I read it right, shows you have lost quite a bit of weight. 291/245/165 That is wonderful. Have you gained the weight back? I also agree with Sue, do you need a fill? Is your Dr. helping with your problem? If so change drs. I did! My surgeon did a great job, but I wasn't getting the support I felt I needed, so I found a different dr and couldn't be happier. Good luck, Joanie :sneaky:)

First Fill
I can't recall the amount I got the first time, but I did feel the restriction. That's how it works, though...right? You'll be fine. Enjoy the weightloss journey! It's worth every thing!
