  1. Here I am at 240 lbs 1mo before and at 140 lbs 2-3yrs after my LAP-BAND®.
  2. Let's see...the tummy tuck and lift were done at the same time and cost about $10000. My arms cost me under $4000. My lower face lift cost $7200. I had my work done by Dr. Brian Burns in Victoria, Tx...and would recommend his office to anyone. He did work on my daughter, my cousin and my aunt and they are all happy with the results. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
  3. Hang in there, sounds to me like you've got a handle on the situation, and just need to take it one day at a time...I do the same thing when I start eating chocolate. I can't stop at just a bite...so I avoid it altogether.
  4. I would do any of my surgeries again in a heartbeat. :frown: I've had a tummy tuck, boob lift, arms and lower facelift! If I can't get rid of my fatty upper legs so my jeans fit better, I will be getting that taken care of next! I have before and after pics if you want to check out my album. Good Luck, Joanie )
  5. Could you post before and after pics...My aunt is having this done next month and I would love to show her what to expect.... Congrats!
  6. :sad:I am so sorry you had this happen to you...I have always feared losing my band since I know I would gain the weight back without it...old habits die hard! Good luck!
  7. I know I don't fit the question, really, but here goes...I also have bcbs, but mine won't cover anything bariatric so I paid for everything myself. I went to a seminar on sat. May 6th,2006, called mon. the 8th made an appt with the dr for that afternoon, went back wed the 10th for my pre-op stuff and had surgery fri May 12th 2006. I have never regretted it! good luck, Joanie )
  8. I will have you in my prayers today, I hope you get good news from your dr today! Let us know! Joanie :cursing:)
  9. I wonder if it couldn't be the mucous from your sinuses plugging you up. Just a theory! :cursing:
  10. Love this....great attitude!
  11. I may have to try it...sounds yummy!
  12. Gargle with warm salt water a several times a day for the next couple of days...should help, but I don't think it should be a problem as far as the surgery goes. Good luck!
  13. JoanieP replied to OI82much's topic in The Guys’ Room
I'm not a guy, but I wanted to say welcome to the site, and good luck on your weight loss.
  14. I can feel my port, but I don't recall any swelling. Mine is located about midway between my belly button and my boobs.
  15. It's been a while since my 2 mo. but I think I lost like 40lbs...but I agree with the others, everyone is different...you can lose more if you exercise...sounds like you have the motivation, I'm sure you'll do well! Good luck!
  16. I had a neck lift, as well as a few other things lifted...lol. We all have things about ourselves that we are selfconcious about, so I think it's great that you will be taking care of yours. Even though none of my friends even noticed my neck being smooth and no longer sagging, I am glad I did it. I was very uncomfortable and felt that I looked older than I feel. Good luck and post some before and after pics if you can!
  17. Graphical Tickers and Trackers: Weight Loss, Trying To Conceive, Pregnancy... Here is the site for the tickers...I think they explain how to insert it into your signature. Good luck!
  18. Truth....I just ordered some "Nutrilite Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables" pills. They give you 10 servings. Nutrilite Health - NUTRILITE® Concentrated Fruits and Vegetables They have chewables also. I should be getting them soon, will let you know how they do.
  19. Surgical Weight Loss 5 Day Pouch Test
  20. Thanks for the link...looks interesting, I am always open for some new shake ideas! Good luck to you!
  21. I know my pouch has stretched a little, but I'm sure it wasn't caused by a few "hard" meals. My dr said it looks normal so I'm not worried. I do try to do the 5 day pouch test diet every now and then to help keep it that way!:blushing:
  22. Same here...I just want to be in the normal range...I am trying to get my diet back on track so I can finally lose these last 20 or so lbs. I've been away from home alot lately and hence been eating out, very difficult for me to eat right that way. :blushing: Hopefully, now that I'll be home for a while I can do it!
  23. Sounds scarey! I hope they find out the problem...very odd! Hang in there, and let us know how it turns out for you! My prayers are with you!
  24. I'm glad you got good news about your band not slipping, and hope they figure out what is causing the eating problem.
