Everyone is different so it's hard to tell. Some people lose a lot, some lose a little. Some have complications, some don't. I will be at my two-months mark next week and have lost 33 pounds since my surgery but have been fortunate enough to have had no complications.

I agree with KimmyTX...everyone is different and our bodies respond differently. I was banded 03.15.10 and at my 8 week mark I had lost over 50lbs; my husband was banded 05.19.20 and he lost slower than me. The key is eat as you are told and exercise! Good luck!

It's been a while since my 2 mo. but I think I lost like 40lbs...but I agree with the others, everyone is different...you can lose more if you exercise...sounds like you have the motivation, I'm sure you'll do well!

Good luck!

post op I've been losing about 1 lbs a week.

I'm thinking that an average of 10 lbs per month is a safe, somewhat conservative guess, but you can see that many people responding seem to lose more. If I could lose something like 40 lbs after 2 months, you can bet you'll see me doing the happy butt dance!
