  1. Congrats! You look great and I'm glad that you feel that way too!
  2. I was sleeved by Dr Ahmad at Mather, it was the best decision I ever made! Good Luck!.
  3. So you knew you would have to take Vitamins daily for the rest of your life...yet you are complaining about it. I got to tell you, that doesn't make sense!
  4. Thank God my hubby and mom were so supportive, but my Aunt actually called me at work and told me not to do it... obviously I didn't listen to her and now I down over 140 lbs and she says that this surgery is the best thing I ever did.. Ha! (She never mentioned that she told me not to do it) Do whats best for you!
  5. Hathery - Glad to see you are on the other side and hope the vomiting stops soon! Be well and good luck!
  6. Didn't you meet with a nutritionist before surgery? I was told my post-op diet would consist mostly of protein and that I would have to take daily vitamins -- I was not surprised! Honestly taking vitamins and eating protein are 2 very minor things to gain my health and life back!!
  7. Deep breaths and good luck!
  8. What about Greek yogurt? Meatballs are another good one. They are soft but also have flavor and protein.
  9. Why would you go back to foods (starches/carbs) that got you in trouble in the first place. Try to remember why you had this surgery, protein & water should be your only concerns right now. If your family is going to be eating foods that are trigger foods for you, maybe you could go out for a walk while they are eating it. Remember this is for you --
  10. I'm sorry that you don't have positive support at home, but this is for you, for your health. Don't fall into to the I told you so trap, prove them wrong! I cut a Pure Protein bar into 3 pieces, so if I want a sweet snack I eat a piece and it takes away that sugar craving and adds about 7 grams of protein to my day. Good Luck!
  11. Why don't you make an appointment with your NUT and try to get back on track... Good Luck!
  12. I started this journey at 338 I am now 197. 100+lb weight loss Can be done, but it takes effort and commitment! I agree with the other poster that suggested that you get a nutritionist since you are having the surgery in Mexico. The sleeve will work if you to choose the right foods and exercise. Good luck!
  13. Congrats ! You look beautiful and so happy!
  14. I'm sorry, what is a Fobi Ring?
  15. So sorry -- you deserve better. Hopefully over time you will have the strength to see it and be able to move on. I wish you the best and hope that your future partner is a true partner in every sense of the word.
