  1. Totally normal! I was so ready for this surgery and then I started thinking about my kids, I kept thinking -- dear God I don't want my mother-in-law raising them, if something happened to me.
  2. I had to wait 4 months... each dr. is different.
  3. Just listen to everything your surgeon and nutritionist say, follow their instructions and you will do great! Good Luck!
  4. Uhm, when I started I was a 24/26 pants and 2x top. After surgery the the sizes kinda just flew downward.. but let me tell ya it's great not to have to pay $50 bucks for a pair of pants in Lane Bryant! I can shop anywhere! Clearance racks here I come! I am currently a 12 pants m/L top and I have 30lbs to go!
  5. I stopped taking them a day and half after I came home. I hate the way they make you feel and forget about how they mess with going to the bathroom...
  6. I would wait! After you're sleeved, you change sizes so quickly, a pair of jeans can go from too tight one week to nearly falling off in two. I really shopped on the clearance rack for a very long time...
  7. What a shame, they look really good!
  8. I'm at 80%. I started at 338 lbs and I'm currently at 189. My goal is 159 which is a normal BMI. I was sleeved 10/10/12 and started my pre-op diet July 2012
  9. Yep! It lasted about a month...
  10. I had only clear liquids after 5pm and also had to drink a bottle of magnesium citrate
  11. How about soup from a Chinese restaurant (wonton, chicken noodle) just drink the broth, it will have more flavor.
  12. Congrats!
  13. I waited over 7 months -- I had 2 sips of wine on Mother's Day and felt woozy.
  14. OMG seriously-- It really seems like this site is full of angry meanies lately!
  15. How far post-op are you? Deep breaths I am 8 months out, it stopped last month for me. I know it's hard, every time I would dye my hair, clumps would come out in my hands... Good Luck..
  16. yup, I was the same way... it takes time.
  17. Woo Hoo! I remember the day when I realized that my towel actually wrapped around all of me, not just my top half, with a big gap where my a$$ is.
  18. You'll be fine, just follow your doctors/nutritionists instructions. The getting the fluids in part is kinda hard post-op, it would take me all day to drink one bottle of Isopure. That and if you have young kids, not picking them up or making sure that they don't jump on you... I was constantly putting my hands up to protect myself from too much love.
