  1. Not really...I started in July after my first NUT appointment and I had a Protein Shake for Breakfast, 4oz of lean Protein and veggies for lunch and dinner. Then 3 weeks before surgery I switched to a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch and 4oz of lean protein & veggies for dinner. I had lost exactly 50lbs by the time I went for my final pre-op appointment with my surgeon.
  2. I was 8 months post-op yesterday and 30 lbs to go. You'll do fine, just follow what they tell you... I read posts on here all the time, people drinking soda, eating pizza and all kinds of crap and then say I only lost 20lbs in 6 months... it takes a little effort, but it is so worth it! Good Luck!
  3. I lost 50 lbs pre-op -- I try to keep my carbs under 40 grams per day, and usually eat between 800-1000 calories a day most of which are from Protein. That's it! I try to do 30 minutes of Jillian Michaels workout during the week...
  4. I had to wait 4 months for salad, it"s a little too rough on your new tummy.
  5. I'm 8 months out and have 32 lbs to go.
  6. I buy myself some new smaller clothes!
  7. It really depends on your surgeon. Some have three weeks others only the day before. Ask your surgeon or nutrionist what they require.
  8. What is the HCG diet?
  9. I didn't take it, but best friend did and honestly we both lost lots of hair. I don't think it made a difference. Thank god at 8 months its stopped falling out.
  10. Congrats! You look great!
  11. Wow you really look awesome! Congrats!
  12. I can truly understand that... I first tried adding Protein powder to the Greek yogurt post-op, then I tried to eat without the protein powder, either way I was gagging as I put it in my mouth. I just couldn't do it.
  13. Food was the last thing I was thinking of -- I was thirsty though.
