  1. The same thing happened to me, two years ago halfway through the process I was informed that my employer had an exclusion of bariatric surgery for any reason. So, I decided to wait, save money, and educate myself as much as I could. During this time I met the man of my dreams who just so happens to have awesome insurance that does cover it, so after our wedding in October I will start the whole process over. If it's meant to be it will happen!

  6. Two years ago I started researching various WLS hoping to have surgery done. Long story short I had an excusion on my ins, changed jobs which now gives me no insurance. I met an amazing (incredibly cute) guy, who is everything I could have ever wanted and he has asked me to spend my life with him So when we marry in October I will once again have insurance! Whats better is that I had future hubby send an email to Aetna asking if the sleeve is covered and it is!!!! He loves me just the way I am, but is totally behind me if I need to do this for me LOL sorry for the ramble but i'm so excited - things are working out for me in ways I never imagined! So now I guess I will start the 6 month Weight Watchers diet to get that out of the way. Has anyone else gone through Aetna Choice POS II? What were your pre surgery requirements?
  7. Hello there! I am new too, mostly been lurking for a while but never posted until now. I wish you the best of luck on your journey
  8. Hey everyone, I'm new here and just wanted to say hello I just applied for the Maryland Health Insurance Plan (it's our state high risk pool) because I keep getting denied private health insurance because of my weight. I was just wondering if anyone else here has the plan as well and has gotten approved for the lapband? I know it's a long shot but was just curious
