  1. When I was on liquids, my doctor told me I could have anything that would go through a straw, (I didn't use a straw), but I read a lot of labels and chose soups high in protein, and liquified lots of food in my magic bullet, especially chili. Have you thought about sausage gravy, with egg added, well blended/liquified, some salt and pepper, yum.
  2. Happy to hear they are surviors.
  3. Well guess what, I didn't do it, and I'm still living, LOL. No way could I chug, sip, or swallow any of that Protein stuff, not that I don't wish I could have, because I would have preferred lots of protein. I still got protein, but not as much as ya get in those shakes. Oh no Lisa, I thought it said vodka after the frozen berries, that kind of shake I can handle, LOL, but not smelling that protein stuff, yuk.
  4. I got mine at Kroger, you can eat the entire bag and it's only about 300 calories, AND they are good.
  5. Silhouettes.com, AND I think they have free shipping on purchases over $125.00. Their clothes are very roomy and they even have some 12w. Get on their mailing list for email sales and get their catalogue. Code for free shipment: FREESHP
  6. Gee, I sure miss my "Exercise in a Bottle", LOL. It was so much fun throwing all that stuff in the trash, just look at the $$$$ we're saving.
  7. I got to a stall like that after I started real food, needless to say was very upset, made an appt with diatician, she did the muscle vs fat test and I had gained 12 of muscles at that time and as we all know, muscle weighs more than fat. Those scales can be your worst nightmare if you use them too often. During my 6-7 months post op I was at a stand still again, went back and I had gained 3 more lbs of muscle, go figure, LOL. Don't weigh every day and most importantly..don't give up! Good Luck

When I was on the liquid stage, I was my garbage disposals best friend, chew and spit, chew and spit, especially those teensie tiny particles of food in the Campbells Hand Soup containers.
  9. Try eating with a baby spoon and fork, I know it sounds crazy, but chances are you're taking larger bites, even though you're chewing well. Just a thought, hope it helps.
  10. None of mine have been done or undone under flouro, although, I would much prefer it was. It's so obvious it's much safer and more thorough. Since I was self pay, I got a year of free followups, including fills, I guess he's gotta cut costs somewhere.

I don't have a full sign either, no burp, no hiccup, no knot in the throat or chest, just instant slime once I cross the line, ERRRR! I am working on knowing and remembering my stomach is not not the size it use to be.
  12. A farm animal never prays. wibib My sentence: When I'm bad I'm bad!
  13. I take thyroid med, but I don't eat for an hour after taking.
  14. Isn't it fun to take some time in the middle of a week and "play". Last week it was over 100 here for 3 days, I had to add water to the pool to cool it down, LOL
  15. Big Parties $100.00 bill or 100 lottery tickets
  16. Congratulations, I wish you the best!
  17. I still love my Magic Bullett, can't fix just one shake when the grandson is here, also the extra cups/mugs, keeps me from having to run the dishwasher everyday, LOL.
  18. How neat is this to have a LapBand doctor among us! Welcome Dr. Pleatman, I look forward to your responses. Also, thanks for taking the time to chat/respond to us.
  19. Linda, I've been taking a personal survey and it's amazing, most everyone who has trouble with their fills, with lots of pbing, especially after 1.75 fill, are 4cc banders. My mom, KarenB, myself, and someone else, (forgot her name), all have similar problems and we're all 4cc band. I so wish I had the larger band. Good Luck
  20. Have you tried the Zone bars? They're pretty good, specially the milk chocolate and peanut butter one, 16 grms of protein, but take your time eating it, it seems to grow as you chew.
  21. My 19 month old granson is not saying much yet, but yesterday he was over to get in the pool and walked up on his Pop's dip cup and started saying, yuk, yuk, yuk, which was nothing compared to the face he was making. Where's that camera when ya need it, LOL.
  22. I printed them off to post in my office for "others" to practice as well.
  23. I need the reminder too.

Thanks Penni for fixing the pics I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I'm so irritated all I get are the links to the pictures. Actually, the gray headed guy on the jetski is my 31 year old son with the gbaby who fell asleep that day, riding the jetski. The other one is my Gson Chase, who is 11. My younger son has a doxie too, if I ever learn how to post pictures without bothering others, I'll post a picture of him too. I love looking at everyone's family and pets, thanks for sharing your families with mine. Trish gave me specific details on how to post the pictures, and they still didn't work, what am I doing wrong, errr!
  25. Greg get all he wishes for, OH MY, that could make for some serious trouble, hehehe. Happy Birthday Big, errr-SMALL Guy.
