  1. I was at 38, had a touch of high cholesterol and the cash......twas no problem not being 40. Also, my doctor is great and very conscientious and my insurance doesn't cover any kind of wls.
  2. I bought one of those Magic Bullets and make my own smoothies, but I keep forgetting and adding Vodka instead of protein.

You go girl! I'm sure your family was very proud of you for participating and not hanging out on the side lines. Reminds me of when I was in Jamaca and the waterfalls, I crept along the sidewalk while the DH and kids climbed the falls. Proud of ya.
  4. IMO, too much of a fill is worse than not enough restriction. It's unhealthy and your weight loss slows, because your body is holding onto every thing you put in, because it's so little. I put up with being too tight for a month and finally went back and he a bit taken out, OMG, what a relief that was and is. That was over a month ago, and I have no desire for a fill any time soon. I have the small band too, 4cc. Don't try to be a hero if it's too tight, get a little taken out so you can eat properly.
  5. Did you hear about the guy that got struck by lightning last week here in VA, talk about a freak accident. He and his motorcycle were burned. They showed pictures of the bike, totally fried. They said the guy never knew what hit him.
  6. Sorry about the leak, I wish you a speedy recovery.
  7. As for the cheating theory, "oh wahhhhhhhh!"
  8. Ok Jane, I give, what's a roof alarm?
  9. I have a fence with gates that auto close and lock, takes two hands to open the lock and the gate, plus, like Michelle, I have beepers when ever a door in my house opens. It's been quite a concern this year since my 19 month old gson is mighty quick. Oh yes, they just gave a good tip on the news, be sure to keep toys out of the pool when not in use.
  10. Sounds like a stressful week. Sorry to hear about your FL. It will get better, hang in there.
  11. Oh my, I remember those days, having to go in long enough to do payroll. Happened with my youngest son, got out just in time to get the payroll done, LOL. Good luck on your weight loss journey
  12. Sorry to hear about the bad luck, how about flipper?
  13. After you put the salsa on the eggs and cheese, don't forget the f/f sour cream.
  14. Ohhh, well anyway, I'm happy for you.
  15. I was my doctor's 1st, yep 1st. There was a proctor flown in to assist, I'm still kicking.
  16. Is this the one you're in Michelle?

  18. I wish you luck on your band journey. Don't over do it.

None here, but I think you really have to get those fluids in/down. My mother has a hard time drinking her water, she should probably consider some Gatoraide.
  20. I don't think I've experienced "perfect" restriction. I'm either too tight or a smidgen too loose. Nothing worse than being too tight and having to pb everything you eat, although I pretty much call my pb....the slime. Unfortunately, I don't usually know I'm full until it starts to come back, errrr!
  21. I'm in the roofing business. I'm trying to be semi-retired. My two sons are pretty much taking over things now and I have a very bright assistant who pretty much does my job now, (what she really wants is my office and paycheck, LOL). We work about 8 crews of about 6-8 men per crew, plus my office, warehouse and delivery people. I've been around roofers so long I tend to use the language they use, so I have to really watch myself when I'm with other ladies. I also invest in real estate and rent out homes and manage all the properties. I understand your feelings about dressing for the office, I had gotten to a point I didn't like to go out socially, I was so tired of always being the heaviest person there. Thank goodness for my band. Good luck with your surgery.
  22. Been there done that, I was the first band for my doctor. So, every seminar or nutritional class that I went to was geared for bypass. As for the remarks, I wouldn't worry about it, I made my choice and I have absolutely no regrets, and I still have all my parts where they're suppose to be.
  23. I eat a zone bar really slow, because I have to lol, it really fills me up. When I feel like I have to have something right then and there, I grab a piece of the viactiv vitamin or the one for calcium. Of course, you're only suppose to have a couple of the calcium one a day. Sure takes care of that desire for something sweet and it's healthy.
