  1. Honey, this ain't no plank, this is a runway to a thinner, happier you. Good luck, wish you the best.
  2. Ouch, sorry about the bad luck, I too hope it will turn itself around. Mine is attached to a muscle and so it doesn't flip a lot. Let us know how it goes.
  3. I still have my smoothie made with lots of fruits and vodka, yummmmm. I do try to maintain a few healthy choices, fruit is good for you, correct?
  4. I didn't have a big deal with pain either. Pain meds at hospital was all I needed. Probably will need gas-x more than pain meds, LOL. I wish you the best.
  5. Wow, I think you look pretty good now. Maybe it's the dark outfit. No problems with crazy dreams or being skinny, hehehe. Good luck!
  6. Well by now, welcome to bandland Nikkee. I DO like your signs, how'd you do that? Too cool, hope all is well and you're doing grand.
  7. Oprah talked about that today, she uses cereal for her crunch food.
  8. Wow, I think you are adorable, I love the hair. You're quite the inspiration and welcome aboard.
  9. I can lift something heavy and it causes my boobs to get very tender. There are lots of tiny blood vessels in the chest area and my doctor told me many years ago they bruise very easily, but you can't see them because they're so tiny. Everytime mine are sore, I will think back and sure enough I've picked up something heavy.
  10. I always thought it was all sugar free candy that gave me gas, I guess I need to compare the type of subsitute used. S/f icecream or chocolate doesn't do it, but let me eat a hard piece of candy and look out, you'll need a gas mask for sure, not to mention the explosions going on within and out.
  11. I only surfed the Yahoo boards until I found this one and one other. I didn't find them to be very consistant or user friendly. Funny, but that Sandy person sure sticks out in my mind, some people are negative about everything. Besides you can only be loyal to so many sites before they become a bandster blurrrrrrrr.
  12. Great news, even the little gain, now you're healed and back on track...you go girl! How are the babies?
  13. I've never seen real estate come down, since I'm an investor, that's a good thing. Interest rates vary, which may determine the speed in which a home sells, but I've never known of a home to sell at a reduced rate unless the seller just needed to get out from the debt or had to sell for personal reasons, such as divorce of illness, etc. When the stock market fell, my real estate just kept on getting it. Invest in real estate, they're not making anymore of it. Good luck on the sale of your house, I'd use a little of that money to invest in a rental property that becomes a source of income.
  14. These ladies were on the Today show this AM, along with Al, telling a little of their story, basically pointing out the loss of weight was not the answer to their problems. I was more taken by their beauty after the weight loss than the story. Afterall, everyone has their own story.
  15. Good for you Margo. I was so excited I drove myself to the hospital, but not home, LOL. I had to be there at 5:30. I'm thrilled for you, congratulations and best of luck on your new journey.
  16. A mothers day gift that will keep on giving year after year, good luck on your journey.
  17. My mom was banded April 7th and she had a lot of back pain too, still does every so often.
  18. You both look great, you two make a good team. Congratulations on the super weight loss.
  19. Welcome Cathy, sounds like it's time to take a deep breath and get down to some serious losing again. We all take a break from time to time, but the secret is to get back down to business. Sounds like a fill could help a lot. Good luck to ya.
  20. Ok Teresa, that does it, you need a new avatar, you are soooo much younger and prettier than that avatar makes you look, it's definately time for a change. You've lost almost 100 lbs, show it off girl. You're looking great, we're all so proud of you, now about that avatar.
  21. I'm so excited, I just reached my second goal, the loss of 40 lbs, 40.5 to be exact. Woooohoooo! It's amazing what an unfill can do. Please fellow bandsters, don't try to be a hero and stick it out if you're filled too tight, it just slows your weight loss down.
  22. Corgi, I can soooo relate. I had a fill on April 6, last week after pbing everyday for a month and being totally miserable, I went for an unfill. OMG, I can not tell you how happy I am with my unfill, I'm thrilled. I have a 4cc band and according to my doctor, that size is very fickle. I can attest to that! Not only am I feeling great, I've reached my second goal, 40 lbs, I'm on cloud nine. It's so true, you have to eat to lose weight. Not being able to keep anything down, I wasted a month and lost very little weight, since my unfill I've lost 5 lbs, tooting my own horn here! Good luck!
  23. I never know I'm full until I start to pb, then pretty much everything comes back or at least it seems like it. I'm still working on the smaller bites and more chewing, you'd think after 5 months it would be the natural way to eat instead of still eating too fast or not chewing enough.
