  1. Yep Monica, after all those days of liquids and mush, now your body's probably in shock. It will get better, like Michelle said, the fills are what helps us to lose the weight.
  2. Hey, TAXI!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to practice, LOL. Oooooh I like the name of all of those stores, personally, I'd prefer a hotel/motel, not that I've ever stayed in a B&B, but I hear they share the same bathroom. Once I disinfect my room, I'm good to go. Lysol and Nana will travel.
  3. Wow Michelle, if that doesn't give us all inspiration, what does? I'm so elated for you, that is such an honor, I'm tickled pink for you!
  4. Kirsten, maybe your friend could get a deal on another Holiday site. I have to admit, I don't think I'll opt for the walk, not that I don't support everyone who does, but a trip to NYC, I'm gonna be a tourist and do some serious shopping and looking forward to meeting and partying with some losers, weight that is.
  5. Caramel, I would suggest you call your doctor's office and ask them to do a muscle vs weight test. My doctor's office has a gizmo that's like a regular scale, with a computer attached and all this info is computed. The last time I had it done, I had gained 12 of muscles, but I eat a lot of Protein. eggs everyday for me. You're wise to stay in touch with your body, if in doubt, check it out!
  6. I think it's like when you go to get your hair cut off and then you have the best hair day you've had in weeks, LOL.
  7. Yeah Alex, I thought she was bragging about the small amount she ate, you're doing great girl, keep it up. Believe me, being overfilled is worse than no restriction.
  8. Wow Kim, that was a great post. I agree we do tend to beat ourselves up if we don't have a loss each week. After a fill that missed my port, a .75 fill, and then an overfill, with a unfill 10 days later, it can get very frustrating. I'm due to go for another fill April 13. I've considered going back earlier due to the unfill, but like you said, " There are times when you are truly, legitimately hungry and need to eat, and the band won't let you", those reminders make me hesitant, but that is what the band is all about. Good job Kim.

Six weeks for me too. I agree with Marie, being completely healed is first and foremost. Good Luck!
  10. Heather, I'm three months out and I've had a few drinks, including margaritas and screwdrivers. I think the secret is you have to sip and I do use a straw when I'm having a cocktail. I think we all have a food or in this case a liquid we don't do well with, I can't do potatoes, which is not a bad thing for me. Here's to ya!
  11. You are such a special person. I admire you so much. You have a beautiful and happy family.

I was sick on my stomach too until they changed the pain meds. Welcome to bandland
  13. I was on two weeks of full liquids, then on to the mushy stage, yummmmm!
  14. Here's Hopping (hehe) everyone has a safe and happy Easter.

At that age I'm not so sure you need to tell them anything about the surgery. Kids worry sooner than we think, so why give them something to worry about? Good luck!
  16. None of that normal stuff , works for me, I did finally take Ducolax the other night, boy did that mountain move.
  17. Vera, that really sucks! I hope you don't have to have two surgeries. I wish you the best. Since someone else is paying for this, it looks like you could choose who and where the surgery is performed. Errrrrr!
  18. Push em up, push em up, real high, lol. On another note, I've always found it amazing how clothes left hanging in the closet for a couple of years ALWAYS shrink at least two sizes. WTG Lady.
  19. Thinking of ya girl, hang in there, it will get better!
  20. Congratulations, get ready to see those pounds drop. Remember this is the slower WLS, so patience my dear, which is what I need right now too.
  21. Awwww, I'm blushing. That was so sweet of all of you to take the time to post to Lil O Me. I plan on making it a day of leasure, you know, pedicure, shopping, just things I want to do. Thanks again.
  22. Good Luck Laura, I'm so happy for you. You'll do great, after all, that's my birthday. Please give us a quick post when you're up to it. My mom goes in a couple of weeks, April 7th for her band. . I don't know what I was thinking for my last "meal", I had a waffle, and it wasn't even good, although the company was great, my son and two grandsons. A gyro, mmmm that does sound good. You'll be able to eat it again, just not for a while. I wish you the berry best.
  23. Karen, I just noticed we were banded 4 days apart. Since my partial unfill, I think I have about 1.2 in my band now. Haily's MO?
