Monday Motivation
Post your favorite motivational quote for all to see! I personally will be selecting my favorites, printing them out, and placing them in random places around my home/work so that when I least expect it, I've always got a little bit of inspiration. Here's my favorite... It's old but I think it bears repeating We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit. Aristotle

Sleeping On Your Tummy
I too am a tummy sleeper. I slept on my stomach in the hospital - the pressure alleviated the pain, until I had to get up! LOL! I've pretty much been sleeping on my tummy since about 2 weeks out - the body pillow to hug helped before then. It It could just be the removal site you're feeling. Mine started hurting about a week post-op. My surgeons PA said it was normal.

Flame Free Friday Confessions!
Sorry girly, you're not even allowed to flame yourself

Flame Free Friday Confessions!
Eating and drinking at the same time? Fill up on sliders for dinner? Have an adult beverage too many or too soon? WHO CARES?! Got a confession that's not sleeve related? That's OK, feel free to confess it! This is your place to confess without fear of judgement or flaming, so let's see what you've got! I'll start us off... I am NOT a morning person and require at least two hours awake before I can be considered fully functional. Every morning when I get to work (8AM) I spend at least an hour screwing around on the interwebs and checking email before I even *think* about working

Respond Soon If Possible-Dehydrated-When Is It Time....
I would say you should be fine after the fluids. I was having similar symptoms before I went to the ER for fluids but once I got out it was easier to drink, eat, and generally just easier to function overall. Hang in there girly! I've noticed that when my beverages are half frozen they're way easier to drink and it's easier to get my fluids in. Keep us posted!

Where To Shop!
I'm not sure how old you are, but once I do start buying clothes again I plan on shopping at H&M. ETA: H&M has stuff for like twenty-somethings... Haven't really explored too much since I can't shop there so they may have more mature stuff as well

It's Thursday Thinker Time!
If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around, does it still make a sound? Probably, but the world will never know! Thursday Thinker is pretty simple, here's how it works... Post a topic, question, quote, whatever, for all of us to think about for the day. Again, sleeve related or not. And if you want to open up a dialog about your thinker or someone elses thinker, please post a separate thread for it so we can all enjoy the thinkers here Enjoy!

Pic Update-- Visting Nyc 6.5 Months Post Op
I dunno about you but I'm an adrenaline junkie. Last time I was in Daytona (I live 30mins from it and am at the beach like every weekend from mid March - September) I tried to go on the Sling Shot (Bad A$$ awesome freaking boardwalk "ride") but I was too big. So I've decided that as celebration, next time I go I'm totally riding that freakin slingshot! Daytona's a lot of fun, you'll have a blast!

Medical Bracelets
I thought about getting a tattoo on the inside of my wrist (In white ink so its discreet) that says "VSG 1/20/12 - No NSAIDs, No ASAs, No blind NG"

Thanks! I had my blood work done 2 weeks ago at the ER and they said everything looked good, and I just did my B12 injection this weekend, but I'll definitely have my Dr check my labs again.

I was thinking it might be fun to shake it up a bit in here... And they were so much fun! What do you guys think?

Holy Freaking Calories Batman!
I've see them but haven't braved them... Maybe I'll try the margarita. MoonSiren - I have a cabinet full of stuff (see pic) that my coworkers affectionately refer to as "La Bodega" but nothing in there appealed to me. I really wanted an ice cold orange Hi-C.

Birth Control Pill Post-Op?
I hate pills (hence why I opted for injectible B12) so I use Implanon. It's an implant in my arm that's good for 3 years. It can be taken out sooner than 3 years, but since I got it last year after I stopped breast feeding, and we're not supposed to get KU for at least 2 years post-op, it works out perfectly! Definitely talk to your Dr about your options!
