  1. I dont' do sugar free but I dont do a lot of things that are sweet either.
  2. I know there has been some real serious complaints with Dr Alamanza. I don't know that you can search for them on this forum anymore it was about a year ago when I read all the negative reviews. Just make sure to do your research!
  3. Check out Dr Aceves too. I had him and couldn't be happier! I hope you find a way, it's SO worth it!
  4. I don't have any tips for you but I just wanted to let you know that it gets better and easier! It will pass! You are about to get your surgery! WHOOHOOO!
  5. Hi everyone! I'm a little over 6 months out and down 75lbs so I thought I'd post some pictures I'm really happy with my VSG. My weight loss has been creeping along the last few months so I have been doing low carb and it's going great. I feel much better on it! Just last week I started rowing! I have NEVER EVER done a sport. I even wear spandex <choke>. I went to Dollywood two weeks ago and rode the rides. Sex is great, life is great, I look great (in my opinion)! I'm loving my VSG!!! I'm in the first seat there from your left!
  6. It's been pretty easy for me. I don't regret it one bit. If I don't lose another pound (even though I hope I do) I won't regret it. I feel so good about myself and I do things I never could before!!
  7. Your nose has changed so much! You look fantastic! Congrats on your sucesses!
  8. I shop sales and when I was at Target in December they were marking down a bunch of jeans. I bought a size 14 and size 13 pair. I don't remember ever being in a 14. When I had my sleeve I was in 22/24. So while I was on a long stall I kept trying those 14s on and about a month ago they fit! I've been wearing them eversince They are getting a little baggy for my taste but it will be a while before I fit into the 13s. I love buying ahead and working my way into jeans. It helps because I only tend to lose weight (on the scale) 1 week out of the month even though I'm getting smaller.
  9. Hi all. Odd post I know but I had to ask if other people were experiencing this. As I've lost weight everything feels so exposed now. I wear kinda tight jeans (not where I have to suck in to zip or anything) and even when I'm sitting in the car or walking it's like they are rubbing on my good stuff. I feel like I constantly have an invisible camel toe now. At first I thought it was just a specific pants that had low rise but no, its all of them. I haven't been this small since Middle school so I suppose this might be what everyone experiences who is of normal weight? I guess my thighs and fat had kept things quit cushioned before. I do wear panties but maybe i need like some padded ones or something <shrug>. Maybe TMI but j ust standing or sitting everything is hidden if you know what I mean I don't have extra good stuff so that it might be easy to rub against jeans etc.
  10. Haha funny stuff! Ya it does taste gross! My kids never would eat it except for the sweet potatoes...wonder what those taste like.
  11. AMG I still have 12 lbs to go. I just had my monthly period stall and I'm back down on the scale this morning so hopefully I can drop at least 1/2 of that this week and make it to 196lbs! I do have rowing practice tonight so there's hope!
  12. Woohoo! So happy for you! You have always been one of my fav posters so it's nice to see an update. What's rule number 10 for weight loss surgery? Pics or it didn't happen?
  13. Check out Torrid. Expensive but seriously up to date fashions for plus sized young ppl.
  14. I was a 44DD or 44DDD before surgery depending on the bra. Now I'm a 38DD. My cup size has stayed the same but let me tell you they have deflated. They kinda puddle in the bra so at the top of the cup I have room for OHhhh say my phone or ipod? I wouldn't buy any bras before you are actually that size. Some 38DDs that I try on now just don't hold my bewbs right and they spill out the middle or give me underarm bewbs.
  15. Girl you are down right TINY! Congrats to you! You deserve it!
  16. Woah! You look so young now. AMazing results!
  17. Start.............Current...............Goal..............Lbs to go DJackson.........213................205..................190.................15 Whew it's finally coming off! I hope it keeps up!
  18. I called while I was in mexico and asked for assistance. they had a wheelchair waiting for me and let me get on the plane first I even got bulkhead seats once! The flight back was even easier than the flight there. Just call the airlines and lethtem know you had surgery.
  19. First, so sorry about your experience. I think your Surgeon should have weighed you before you got prepped or perhaps even the day before if that was his policy. I honestly think he stopped to teach you a lesson. Second, the lady across the hall from me in Mexico almost had her surgery canceled. She said she followed the low carb diet to a T and her liver was still very fatty. In medicine or anything really there are no absolutes. To assume that the reason Drs do something is because they have science to back them up is silly. I can think of many (controversial) places where they do indeed cause harm because they just wanted it done their way without any science to back it up.
  20. I had coffee a few days out. I never was told not to, at least that I could remember.
  21. Start.............Current...............Goal..............Lbs to go DJackson.........213................207..................190.................17 Went low carb and voila lost 3 lbs in 4 days. Had an affair with movie theater popcorn last night (Damn you Rango!) but I'm back on it today. .
  22. Grats again (posted on OH too) I'm really looking forward to watching your progress as you go along. We may want another sometime in the future. I wish you the most perfect little baby bump and all the cute clothes to go with it!
  23. September would work better for me, would you be up for that Keys?
  24. Start.............Current......Goal..............Lbs to go DJackson.........213................210............190.................20 UGH! I'm frustrated. I've only lost 3 lbs in the last month and I'm only 5 months out. WTF? It's really got me worried I'm starting working out today so I hope that jump starts my weight loss
