What is the one significant thing in your life that you can do now...
Shop in the regular women's section. I have been in plus sized since middle school. I cross my legs without thinking about it. I love to have my picture taken. I'm able to live my life without what I'm eating that day (ooo i can have doughnuts in the morning) consuming my thoughts. I don't daydream in the same way. I used to always dream bout being thin, what I would sacrafice if I could have one wish, I don't do that anymore. It's freeing.

Desperate for support from my Husband to have VSG
Have hubs go with you on your appointments and tell him his support is vital to you even if he doesn't agree. Let him vent worries about you dying and talk about the reality of staying the weight you are. You will die from being very overweight, this is a chance for you to be healthy. I'd also explain to him how obese people have 4x the amount of the hunger horomone and you are basically white knuckling it without some sort of intervention. Furthermore less than 10% of ppl who lose weight keep it off after 5 years (by conventional means). Finally you have to do it for yourself. He is your partner but not you. You have to do it for you.

Need some suggestios for Protein Soups...plus what do you mix the unflavored protein powder in?
Unjury makes a great chicken broth. I still have an entire can of it just because I was sick of drinking broth but you can use it to make all kinds of soups.

Crab legs
Crab legs aren't something you can binge on, you have to eat them slow so I wouldn't worry about it. Eat them until your hunger is satisfied but don't get too full. Use real butter to get some of that yummy good for you fat and ENJOY!

My Plastics Journey - My first one (of several)

OMG...this diet is horrible
You have no idea how much you will love your sleeve. It is the single best thing I've done for myself. Think of your pre-op as conditioning for a race. Do the hard work so that you can have your surgery. The way you will feel after surgery and in the coming months will not ever been 1/10th as hard as any diet before hand. It's hard it sucks, you can do it though!

How many times and for how long were ur stalls?
I stall 3 weeks out of every month. Before a stall breaks I go up 2lbs right after my period. So it goes drop 8ish lbs...gain 2 back...stall for 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Buckle down (not sure how much this helps) and start losing again. Even months when I didn't buckle down I started losing again. Your body as to build back it's reserve of water which accounts for several pounds so even if you are losing fat you are holding water. Stalls happen. Chart your drops and use the time you are stalling to take a good look at what nutrtion you are getting.

Mirena (or other IUD) and VSG
I cannot take Mirena because I have had a Pulmonary embolism but I do the copper IUD and it's great.

Birth Control Before Surgery FEMALES ONLY!
Talk to your OBGYN and your surgeon. I have the copper IUD (no horomones) so that might be a way for you to prevent pregnancy but I'm not sure it will help with the heavy flow. TMI Maybe but the only negative side effect so far has been extra discharge (stringy/snotty) right after your period. My OBGYN said that it was where the string of the IUD rubs the mucuous membranes and causes them to create more mucus than normal. It's so not a big deal though.

I hate to say this but...
I'm with ya chica. I can hold more food for example last night I ate 1 and 1/2 tacos 4 months ago i could eat 3/4 of one. That's double my capacity. More that volume it's that the hunger cravings have come back. When seeing Diva's post today about the 30 day challenge I cringed at the thought of getting rid of my pastas, breads, and sugars. I'm still debating if I want to jump on that train or not.

Best exercise to get rid of BELLY FAT
OH BELLY! I still have a lot of belly fat and no motivation. I want to do belly dancing and hooping but its a 30 minute drive to and from and I'm so broke it isn't funny. 30 lbs to go and it's all in my tummy.

VSG DIETERS MAYBE INTERESTED IN THIS LINK.
I had a friend do this diet. She followed it religiously for a year and felt no better nor did she lose any weight. Just another fad diet IMO

Fainting! Warning
Thanks for all your replies! Stary- That is exactly like what happened to me. I do not however think it was a drop in blood sugar because within the 3 hours I was there I had a chicken tender (breaded) with honey mustard, OJ in my tequilla sunrise and cranberry juice with my vodka. My friend, who had the DS, had eaten a bowl of pasta right before going out. I'm still not sure what made this happen but today after having sex with hubby my ears started getting that sound again, or lack of sound, it freaked me out a little. I don't know what it is. I'm going to mail Dr Aceves about it on Monday.

Bonnarooooooo
It was so amazing to go as a normal person. No one even noticed me and when they did it was in a good way I wore mostly carpis because of my thighs but I stayed so cool, I didn't get tired. I just felt awesome. I know I said to myself at least 30x during the weekend how much I loved my sleeve!! You should travel out for bonnaroo 2012, our tent neighbors were from Cali and Texas

How gay friendly are they in Mexico?
CC I think you won't have any problems. I've found that the people of Mexico are a lot more accepting that here in the US and I can certainly understand about worrying if they would let your partner with you if something were to happen.
