  1. I just saw my dr for calf cramps. He tested for potassium and magnesium deficiency. I do know this is common in people with hypothyroid. I have not received the test results yet. Good luck!
  2. I have seen several posts of people taking the lasagna or taco cupcakes to pot lucks. They are super easy, single serve, and taste great!
  3. I'm in the same boat. I was sleeved oon 8/6 with a start weight of 300. I am at 260 and stuck for a week, and I was stalled at 265 for more than two weeks before that. I'm starting to feel like this just isn't working! I try more calories, less calories, more fluids, more Protein, I exercise. Nada. I'm getting really down!
  4. You know, I did "cheat" some on my preop diet, yet still lost 16 lbs. My surgeon's exact words were " wow, you did great!" So, I would say just get back on track and make double sure you comply with the diet for the remainder! YOU CAN DO IT! It will be so worth the investment for you;-) Do not let other peoples propencity for negativity drag you down! Regardless of what they claim, if we were all self control superstars we would not need the surgery to begin with. Good luck to you!
  5. I was sleeved on Aug 6th. I am down 40 lbs but seem to be stuck there. :-\
  6. Are you taking an acid reducer like prilosec? Often excess acid is causing us to feel "hungry". Also, hhead hunger stinks! Good luck!
  7. It is my understanding that once you are healed you can return to normal levels of excercise. However, when that is may be different from person to person and the best thing to do is discuss your personal case with your surgeon.
  8. No matter how slow or well I chewed, I felt that after almost every meal until just a few days ago. I'm almost 6 weeks out. I still feel it a little bit sometimes.
  9. Great job! That thing is called Insanity for a reason! But watching Shaun T is no hardship lol!
  10. That is what most Doctor's will say I think. I'm not quite six weeks out and I have been going to the gym for 3. Nothing major, just treadmill or eliptical and some light weights. Monday I will start a more intense program as that will be 6 weeks out for me.
  11. I agree! I'm about 6 weeks out now and down 40lbs. Man what a difference! I hope my poor husband survives lol! Before I just wanted to keep the cover to my chin and his hands above my head. Not much fun for either of us.
  12. I had PF severely. It totally sucked! I went to my pcp for the problem. Now, this sounds bizarre, and guess it is, but he told me to get athletic tape and place it the length of my arch. I also wrapped a piece around my foot to keep it in place. IT WORKED! I was sceptical, but really willing to try anything at that point. He said he did not know why, but that was the most effective way he found of treating PF. I also lost about ten lbs at the same time, so I'm sure that was a factor. I did that for about a month and you know it never did come back. Good luck!
  13. I am 5 weeks out and I can eat both. I just have to chew really well! The only things I have found that don't agree with me so far are canteloupe and green Beans. Corn isn't great either. Dairy makes me feel a little heavy, but I can tolerate it.
  14. Stop grazing! My dr did tell me that is a sure way to sabotage yourself. Create a meal plan and stick to it! When you feel the urge to graze, grab your Water bottle! You can do it! When you get to goal you will look back and be amazed at your progress!
  15. Thanks everyone! I'm such a dork! I counted wrong. I am actually 5 weeks out!
  16. Lol! But you could buy one or two instead of a whole jar! Plus I like to take them when I'm on the go all day. Not such a guacamole fan unless I made it;-)
  17. Thank you! You will do great!
  18. Thank you! Yes, I lost 16 lbs on the preop diet!
