  1. I get cramps in my side that go around to my back. I actually stayed an extra night in the hospital for it. The dr gave me lorazapam. I do wish they they had sent me home with a muscle relaxer. I think my recovery would be much easier. I pulled that muscle running from my main incision. It is slooooow healing! Btw I'm almost 3 weeks out.
  2. Today I pureed my tuna, miracle whip, and pickles and mixe it with cottage cheese. Mmmmm! I loved it!
  3. Does anyone still have severe pain there? My Dr said it was a pulled muscle and stitch from sneezing. But OMG! It is still soooo painful! I'm two weeks out
  4. Usually there is one incision larger where the stomach is pulled out of. That is what is painful to me.
  5. If you filp this upside down that is where mine are.
  6. Btw that is not a "kinda" victory. That is an EPIC victory!
  7. I'm 2 weeks out and my NUT told me today I could have peanut butter
  8. Congratulations! That is AWESOME! Keep up the excellent work!
  9. It does go away by eating more calories, but it will also slow your weight loss. My surgeon said I want to keep ketosis going as long as I can to burn excess fat better.
  10. Milk of magnesia works really well for me and I never have had cramping with it.
  11. I saw the surgeon today. Since starting the preop diet I have lost 26lbs. Everything looks great. The right side pain is a pulled muscle and popped stitch caused by sneezing of all things! It is getting better but he says it will just take time. I was cleared for the treadmill and light weights so the gym will be my new friend! I started pureed foods today. I had tuna salad and cottage cheese. Mmmm! But I'M SOOOO STUFFED! It was delicious and I had no problems tolerating the heavier food.
  12. Hi I'm Susan. I am 36 with three wonderful children 15, 13, and 12. I have been married to my husband Sean for almost 14 years. I am Office Manager for a Political Consultant and I love my job! We love to travel and have moved to three different states in 4 years looking for the right fit I guess. But it is always back home to AZ lol! I have been overweight since highschool but didn't hit the morbidly obese mark until after my last child was born and I had a hysterectomy. That added to hypothyroid and I balloned right up. I have managed to loose 50 here and ther only to gain it back plus some. I decided to have surgery because I wanted a permanent solution to my weight problem. I know the sleeve is a tool, not a magic wand, but so far I love it. I'm hoping to finally be healthy and keep up with my family. Good luck to all of you!
  13. I'm only two weeks out, so I'm afraid I'm not much help. I have read a lot of posts regarding stalls saying go back. To basics to bust the stall. Many suggest going back to a liquid diet for a short time and channging up your exercise routine. Good luck to you!
  14. Lol! It comes and goes for me. Some days I can tolerate it so well. Others days like today it is a challenge. Just keep the end goal in sight! Since startin my preop diet 4 wks ago I am down 25 lbs.
  15. Protein did that to me at first too.
  16. That's how I feel but it starts right under the incision and goes around my back. Grrr.........I was doing so well!
  17. I'm 13 days out tomorrow and the nerve pain in the incision is brutal! I'm trying to hold out until my 2 wk appt on Tuesday, but man this is the worst pain I think I've ever had!
  18. I sure hope so! It is far worse than the initial pain!
  19. At 5 days I took a full dose of milk of magnesia. I havnt had gas problems since. Just don't take it if you are going anywhere.
  20. Anyone have a nerve go crazy in the incision ten days out? Everything was fine until then. Now I can barely walk!
  21. It is my understanding from my doc that the only way to significantly drop the ths level is to medicate. I took Armor for a year but it did little to no good. Once I switched to levotyroxine (synthroid) I had an immediate decrease in symptoms. My feet still get cold easier than normal but everything else got better. Next month I have a dr appt and I will be tested again. I can function normally without a crushing fatigue, no more night sweats, no more freezing in warm weather lol!
  22. I supppose it is possible, but not probable in my understanding. In my case it is genetic. Both my sisters have the same thing. I've had drs tell me to tape my mouth shut so I don't eat, its all in my head, and I just need to be a happier person. That was laughable since I am a very happy person. I don't think the ths levels will change much with weight loss though. One of my sisters is a skinny minnie but has worse levels than me. The more weight you losse the less fatigued you may feel though.
