  3. i am almost six months out from my surgery date. i never weigh myself at home. i only weigh in at my monthly doctor appointments. i would be so stressed otherwise. i may be experiencing a three week stall right now but i do not know it.

  9. almost four months out from my sleeve. started at a size 20/22. went shopping this last weekend, as my pants were literally falling off. took a size 14 into the dressing room "just to see". when they fit, i looked at myself in the mirror and said, "shut the front door". someone in the dressing room next to me laughed. i know size is not everything but for some reason being able to wear a size 14 jean is AMAZING!!!!! have not been this size in over twelve years. my knees/ankles no longer hurt. i am able to give my children tight squeezes. i caught my husband looking at me the other day. literally, staring at me with that look in his eyes. for those on the fence regarding this surgery, you need to have this surgery. yes, there are times when it blows, BUT the times when it rocks greatly outweigh the negatives. thanks to everyone who post questions/comments on this website. to know there are others out there experiencing the same feelings/emotions is such a great comfort. happy holidays!

sorry about your discomfort/agony. i also, had an unbearable first week. my pain was not relieved at all in the hospital. after five days home found out i had a splenic infarcture. i have been uncomfortable every moment of the last two weeks. i am now covered in a head to toe rash from the pain meds. whoever said this was the easy way out has no flipping clue. i am just trying to take it moment by moment. hang in there!
  16. only you can make the right decision for yourself. hope your body has time to heal now.
  17. i do not have a scale in my house. i am just relying on my dietician/doctor appointments. i don't need the constant questioning of my body. i have done that long enough. if you can't get rid of your scale entirely maybe you can pick one day a week to weigh yourself?
  18. congratulations. you look and sounds like you feel amazing. i am two weeks out and still tired/weak. great to read stories with hope.
  19. it does gurgle up my throat. my digestive system is rarely quiet and i am two weeks post-op. don't be paranoid. i am sure it will become our new "normal".

  21. may i ask what a normal day of food intake entails for you? thanks.
  22. a forty pound loss is amazing. the fact that you have decided you need another tool to continue in this journey is admirable. i would only tell people that are going to support you. as far as anyone else is concerned, the weight loss that will continue will be from using weight loss tools. this journye is yours and only yours. enjoy.
  23. wondering what % of sleeve patient's stomachs have been removed. my doctor said he removes 85-90 percent. normal?
  24. thank you so much for all your information. much appreciated.
