Five month anniversary
Wow, awesome job!

C'mon, brag a little! :)
I am very happy and I have only had a few bumps in the road with all being user error, but you learn from your mistakes, right? As of today I have lost 75lbs and I'm wearing clothes in my closet from 4 years ago. People call me skinny (and I call them crazy ) I know I can get smaller and then they can call me skinny, lol. I am really happy I made the decision finally (took 2 years to do it) and it has been well worth it! And this website and the great people on here have been my saving grace.

Fitbit
Here is something interesting I found that the fitbit can be used with, may be of interest to you: http://lifehacker.co...ewards. Sounds kind of sounds too good to be true, but it's free to join, so I don't see how it would hurt to try.

Fitbit
On the calories burned, does this take into account if you do other exercise, say like strength training, or is it primarily for walking? I'm looking into getting one, but not sure 100% how it works.

Question
I was told the same as dwarren30 (the 2 snacks were advised by my NUT from the start) and with a 1 cup limit.

Bras
I don't buy these on this website, but here are the ones I really like, no wire, support, and really comfortable. I finally broke down and bought some last night, had the same problem as you: http://www.herroom.com/vanity-fair-71380-beautiful-benefits-back-smoothing-full-figure-bra.shtml

How long after the surgery does the bloating go down?
It took me about a week for it to all go away, including the gas pains in the shoulder.

Water
I totally agree with CG, actually I went looking for the peach ice tea after I saw her mention it in another post, and it is really good, my favorite right now I really love cherry limeade too but I look like a 3 year old if I drink it (bright red color)

My biggest regret
Are you doing better now with the unfill? How is it going?

Water
I agree with Dee as I have the same problem as you and I had actually posted the same question some time ago on here . Keep that water bottle with you at all times and keep on sipping, and flavor it. One suggestion that I thought was really good, that I still have not tried, but this post reminded me of it, is to time yourself like make a goal of so many ounces in so much time and you can get it in.

My nose
Is it after you have been eating? It make be a soft stop sign to stop eating. Mine is a little hiccup when I need to stop.

smh big time pain
Where are you located? Maybe if you give this out, someone on here has had a similar situation or can offer suggestions.

you gotta hear this...
I would be looking for a new doc, that is ridiculous. Especially telling you that you are chewing too much? Does he even understand the lap band and how this works? And personally cheese fills me up just fine, I use it as a snack often and the grumbling stomach stops.

Favorite recipe website or personal recipies
emilybites.com is really good and she usually puts the nutritional information (based on MFP) at the bottom of her recipes. I only tried the slow cooker buffalo chicken and it was really good. Sparkpeople.com is a good website to look up low carb recipes as well.

Self Pay and Taxes
Has anyone gone through doing your taxes with being a self pay? I'm going to be using this as a deduction this year as it's definitely over the amount required for medical expenses and wanted to know any tips on what I can add to this to rack it up (legally) to help me pay off this loan faster with a refund? I'm going to use the mileage to my doctor because they are about 45 minutes away, but wanted to know if I'm missing anything you can suggest? Also, if you had done this before, did you do pretty well and were able to pay a big portion of your loan? I know it all has to do with AGI and all that, but still would like to know.

Happy 2013 Challenge!!

Stomach problems with Chike
Hi Steph, I looked up the website as I'm not familiar with this product and I think you are running into the same problem that I had when I tried several protein shake brands from GNC and Vitaminshoppe. I got diarrhea, gas and bloating from them and found by Googling that a majority of people have these issues, something to do with lactate used in these products, I'm not lactose intolerant, but I can't do these for some reason. I even tried it with water and still had the same issues, so I knew it was the protein powder. Maybe try without milk and use some almond milk instead, this may be enough to get it agree with you. Another option may be Isopure, I have no problems with it. It is more expensive, but well worth it to me because I don't have the gastrointestinal issues with it. Maybe see if you can switch to this instead or another type the doctor suggests? Good luck!

nauseated
I was sent home after surgery with nausea medication and pain killers, but I only felt nauseous the first time I tried to eat something besides liquid and after that I was okay. Are you getting enough fluids in? I know it's difficult that 1st week out to get in fluids, so you may want to drink some gatorade to help replenish more effectively versus water.
