I am 4 days post op and just yesterday started to feel nauseated. Every time I am on my feet. Can't tell if I'm hungry or if I'm nausea or if it's gas. Has anyone took meds for their nausea. Just thinking of having another Protein Shake turns my stomach. I'm also afraid I'm not having enough of anything; Protein, calories. Any suggestions? N how long will I have this nausea feeling n bloated feeling??

I was sent home after surgery with nausea medication and pain killers, but I only felt nauseous the first time I tried to eat something besides liquid and after that I was okay. Are you getting enough fluids in? I know it's difficult that 1st week out to get in fluids, so you may want to drink some gatorade to help replenish more effectively versus Water.< /p>

I feel I'm not getting enough of anything. After posting this I took my pain meds and walked around. That seemed to help. I also waited about 4 hrs before eating. I may have been hungry. I blended an egg with my chicken broth and some carrots and ate about 1 cup. That really helped. I feel okay right now. I have heard I may feel nauseated if I'm not eating enough. Thanks for it help.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
