  1. Grapples are so good, I love them! I have not tried fruit skin yet, but I will probably peel when I do. Been sticking to sugar free fruits in the can for now.
  2. Terry, I love your posts, you make me laugh every time I drink 2 cups a day with sugar free creamer and stevia. My NUT was okay with it. I did cut down though, from 4 cups a day. I've been losing consistently (except for 1 month I plateaued, but that happens) and the key is if you track it, then you don't go overboard.
  3. Join myfitnesspal.com and be my friend "2012ALM", all of my friends are banded people from here (LBT). Supportive group.
  4. Thank you! And Missy that's funny you say that because I asked the girl at checkout what size the "normal" side goes up to and when she said 16, that just made my day . It's been a long time since I've seen this number and Patty you will be there soon, I know you are in that February challenge and are doing really good! And remember we are all shaped differently, I was really surprised I got in that size because I'm a pear shape (I think) if that's when you are small on top and big around the belly and thighs, but I lost my butt (fine by me, hehe).
  5. Definitely! I can walk for 45 minutes at a pace of 3.2 without breaking a sweat, but if I go out and shovel snow, I break a sweat easily
  6. Nicely put Missy! Exactly how I feel and will act if I ever get the "balls" to date again .
  7. I just had to share with people who would understand, but I finally went shopping for pants today as mine are all too big and I didn't keep anything smaller, so it was time I got out of the "droopy butt" (as I call them ) pants. So I went in thinking, I'm probably and 18, nope, too big, I'm a 16, woohoo! I'm really happy, I was wearing size 24 about 7 months ago.
  8. Look in the coffee isle, there are all kinds of sugar free flavoring syrups, sorry I can't remember the name right now. I found them at Wal-Mart, but I believe I saw them at Kroger too.
  9. I had an episode similar to yours and kept burping a lot, so I contacted my NUT to see what I did wrong and she told me I ate to fast. I didn't feel like I was stuck and was not pbing or anything, but had the burping.
  10. People call it a butterfinger shake, which I'm sure if I'd say it tastes like that, but it's still good, you add 1 T of sugar free butterscotch pudding mix to a chocolate protein shake.
  11. What is riced cauliflower? I would like to try this, but I have no clue what this is? I would imagine cut up cauliflower, maybe with a cheese grater or food processor?
  12. That is good news . Do you have to watch carbs at all? I think I would have a hard time uping calories and not going over my carbs. I guess I eat could more meat, but still
  13. I like that and I bet the feathers would hide blemishes better too, I wonder if you can do it with a shellac/gelish polish? Regular polish does not do too well on me and I bought a gelish kit and do them myself and love it! I take breaks between as it can dry up your nails, but mine grow really good when I use it.
  14. That's good to hear, I was thinking I'll never do it because it would cost a fortune .
  15. I usually drink a protein drink everyday, I'm not that hungry in the morning, but I need to take my vitamins and the protein drink keeps me from getting nauseated from taking the pills and gets something in my system to start the day. Then I eat a snack between breakfast and lunch which is more of a food like yogurt or whatever I end up taking with me to work. It's easily portable and my NUT was okay with it and it works for me.
  16. How are you burning 1400 a day? Are you wearing a body media or something to show calories really burned?
  17. It's when you body has some sort of reaction to tell you to stop eating. You may think you can still keep going if your only half way done with the amount your doc told you to eat, but it is best if you don't. For example, when mine was still around, at one point, if I did a small hiccup, I knew I better stop eating or I won't feel too good when I'm done. I have heard of noses starting to run, a burp, a sigh (I thought that was a weird one, but I actually had this happen at Red Lobster once), hiccup, and that's about all of the ones I can think of, but there might be more. Not everyone experiences this either, but quite a few do.
  18. Is this a hiatal hernia or another type? Sorry if this is an ignorant question. The hernia I had repaired at surgery was a hiatal hernia, but what you described is exactly what I've been experiencing the last 2 weeks thinking it was my gallbladder or something, it's right under my right rib cage too. I go to my primary doc next week, but depending on what she thinks, may be visiting my lapband doc as well.
  19. Mine was included with the surgery cost and I had to sign a release that I would allow him to do this while he was in there once he found it. I had no clue I had one, so I'm glad he automatically does this.
  20. Thanks both, I was actually due for a fill last weekend, but a snow storm came through and I cancelled my appointment (not driving 45 minutes in a storm), so end of the month I have one so I may get it back .
  21. Has anyone experienced their soft stop going away? Mine used to a be a little hiccup and I don't experience it anymore. Granted I stick to my 1 cup allotment, but was curious if others lost theirs.
  22. I'm sorry to hear that Linda, but hopefully it should not have much of an impact on your band. I had mine fixed at the time of the surgery and got my band at the same time. Some have it done afterwards and they still have a band (at least what I have seen on LBT). I hope all turns out well for you!

That's really sad that has to happen, I hope you get it resolved soon.
