  1. The atkins shakes are pretty good and easy to find, the Mocha and Chocolate caramel were pretty good and you can usually find coupons. But I like Isopure the best because it's quality protein and drink it daily, but I only use 1 scoop a day to make it more cost effective.
  2. Yay, great job!!
  3. I've had 5, but honestly I get in the green, lose more weight and need another fill, so obviously the fat around my stomach is being lost too
  4. I found out after my surgery from my NUT that they forgot to give me my eating manual on what to do, it would have been nice to have before my surgery, but I had decent instructions on how to prepare (eat) for surgery, but not much for after. See if your office has a manual that they may have forgotten to give you? My NUT emailed it to me.
  5. Thanks for the Max Effect suggestion, I tried some liquid versions and they all tasted like nasty swamp juice (ie Alive) , so I gave up, but it would be nice to shop from Vitamin Shoppe versus Celebrate.
  6. Sorry, forgot to weigh in yesterday, I'm down to 176.8
  7. Celebrate cherry flavor are the best tasting ones I have found for the multi-vitamin. You can get a sample for $3.00 on their website, but they give you a $3.00 coupon so essentially it's free if you end up buying the vitamins.
  8. I keep trying, but it hurts my lower back and I'm doing it on a treadmill with good shoes. Does anyone know how to combat this problem? I really want to get into the 5ks, but I'm not getting anywhere fast when my back hurts.
  9. Good luck and HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
  10. I love my unsweetened vanilla almond milk, it is so good and since I'm mixing it with protein powder, it's okay that it's not high in protein.
  11. Great job CG, I'm really proud of you and glad you are on this forum to share your experiences!
  12. SageTracey, I know this is an older post, but I thought I would try. I finally pulled my Bodymedia and watch out of the closet and don't have the subscription for the online tracking anymore. I really just want to use it to track my calories burned during my walks each day outside and again on my treadmill at night. Can I just put on the arm band and watch to see those calories burned, or do I need to get the online account again?
  13. Not for me, I have my caffeine every morning and still really don't want breakfast, but I make myself eat it to take my vitamins
  14. I sometimes wonder if it's where the body is getting rid of the junk (through our pores/face) as we are losing weight from going to eating crap (speaking for myself here ) to eating healthy.
  15. I just tried the PB2 chocolate and a chocolate protein shake and that is really good, yummy! Never thought to put the 2 together.
  16. I don't usually feel the changes from the fill until about a week out, maybe you need to give it some time?
  17. That's really good to hear! My surgeon had the lap band himself and most of his staff has it as well, it's a nice resource since they know what you mean when you are asking questions about what you are experiencing.
  18. Yes my face was giving me a lot of (new) problems and I tried all kinds of things, but nothing really worked. However, my clarisonic has seemed to help some, I found a really good deal on eBay over Christmas and finally bought one.
  19. Since you like spinach, you should try the recipe Patty posted, here's a link: http://www.smartbalance.com/recipes/chicken-and-spinach-casserole. It's so good! The green giant seasoned steamers are really good too, I just had the Tuscon broccoli with some cheese tonight.
  20. Great job, I'm so happy for you!!
  21. Oh Molly you have me rolling with that one!
  22. I stood on my bathroom sink to reach the top of my mirror to clean it and broke it and had to buy and replace a new one (I rent) and fortunately my dad came in and helped me as I have no clue how to replace this (but now I do, lol). Granted you should not stand on the sink, but still
  23. Hi Chrissy-Chris, go to the Forums Home and you will find a food and Nutrition section that has a lot of recipes. Patty posted this under that area and you can follow that forum for all recipes posted (look for button on top right of forum home page for this section). Also here are some websites with recipes to get you started: emilybites.com skinnytaste.com smartbalance.com/recipes (props to Patty ) sparkpeople.com
  24. You know I've got to try this one! Thank you! Did you post that dessert you mentioned before? I may have overlooked the post.

There are only a few fast food items I will eat now, Arby's roast beef (no bun), Wendy's small chili, or pizza with super thin crust. Sometimes I don't have time and need to make a quick stop but I'm a lot smarter about it than before, no shake, extra large fry, and maybe even another desert to top it off like I would have done before. Sounds pretty yucky to me now, haha
