I've never heard of it, what exactly is it?

I use the BodyMedia Fit. it is a device worn as an armband which measures calories burnt, steps and sleep. You can also record your calories eaten, although I do that via myfitnesspal.com

I have found it very useful as it actually measures my calories burnt, rather than a general estimate. You can get it with a wristwatch type display to see your progress through the day but I just plug the armband into my computer for a quick check.

Oh okay, seems cool. Ill have to look into it!

I have the fit bit. It is integrated on the my fitness pal app. I like it because you don't have to wear it on your arm. It slips in nicely on your bra or shirt or pants.

SageTracey, I know this is an older post, but I thought I would try. I finally pulled my Bodymedia and watch out of the closet and don't have the subscription for the online tracking anymore. I really just want to use it to track my calories burned during my walks each day outside and again on my treadmill at night. Can I just put on the arm band and watch to see those calories burned, or do I need to get the online account again?
