  1. I went for a fill today and found out that my port is causing some dull pain on and off. I thought it was my gall bladder, then appendicitis, but come to find out it's from my exercising (walking 2-4 miles a day), I'm working the muscles and since the port is attached to a muscle it can be an irritating kind of pain, but nothing severe, and she said it will probably go away eventually as I get strong (I originally just sat around on the couch and now walk every day). But if you experience severe, then it's time for some x-rays. I talked to both my PCP and Lapband nurse, so I'm confident I don't have a major issue. But if you suspect something is wrong, please ask your docs because things can happen.
  2. Great job!!
  3. If you have problems, you could always ground up your shrimp and put it in something. I occasionally have problems with it if I don't pay attention and eat it too quickly and don't chew enough. And it's funny that you ask about cake as I just ate some of the scraps off of the cake I just baked and got stuck pretty good, guess I'm not eating the final product after all . Although, it had no icing, so that may have helped too.
  4. I hope I can continue to eat asparagus, I'm like marfar7 and absolutely love the stuff! It will be a very sad day when I can't eat it anymore , so far I'm good and can eat it.
  5. I didn't think about looking at places like that, thanks for the tip!
  6. Yes I would, just wish I did it sooner .
  7. But it does get easier as you learn and keep going
  8. Do we weigh in on Thursday or Friday next week?
  9. I keep debating getting the Fitbit, when I get enough points on my credit card (rewards program) I'll probably get one, but I don't want to spend the $100 right now.
  10. It bugs me too, but I have not been able to fix it either, so I just stick with whole numbers and keep my real numbers written on my calendar hanging on the fridge.
  11. I just friended you on facebook, so I hope I did this right.
  12. I would like to join, this is a great idea and I didn't think about a second facebook page, I have not joined other LBT facebook pages because only 4 people know about my surgery and I would like to keep it that way .
  13. Great post and perspective, a good way to stay motivated . I've been gradually getting more motivated with exercise and just got an HRM to help me with this so my workouts (cardio) count. Still struggling to get myself to do the strength, but I know I need to.
  14. This sounds delish, will definitely have to try it, thank you!
  15. Checking in for this week, 0 loss this week, still 176.8
  16. I'm a side, stomach sleeper and was sore when I tried to lay this way at first, so to lay on my back to make it comfortable, I took a pillow and put it under my knees and slept well until I could lay on my side again.
  17. How about getting a second opinion, can you try to find someone closer, especially with that long of a drive? I would of have never stuck to it that long with that kind of trip each time, so kudos to you.
  18. Pineapple juice helps me
  19. I'm sorry to hear that, but at least you still have an option. What kind of pain did you experience?
  20. Quest bars are awesome! And don't forget about sugar free pudding, I just made some Pistachio tonight. And I love, love, love almonds and blue diamond has all kinds of flavors like chocolate mint, coconut, butter toffee (these are a little too rich for me, but they were good).
  21. Man, I was really hoping this was a recipe or something so I could eat them (haha, I can dream can't I?) and Samoas are my favorite! I didn't buy any, I would definitely eat the whole box easily, there just too good.
  22. When I left after surgery, I was given sugar free crystal light candy (about 3 pieces), so I would think so. I suppose they realized I would have a sore throat and this helped. I sucked on them on the ride home.
