Acne??

Has anyone else had breakouts during weight loss? I have never had a problem with my skin and all of a sudden I am having breakouts like crazy. I haven't changed anything, so the only thing I can figure is that it is related to hormone fluctuations.

Your hormones could very easily be causing your breakouts. Do you notice them more around the time you'd be ovulating or your period?

Yes my face was giving me a lot of (new) problems and I tried all kinds of things, but nothing really worked. However, my clarisonic has seemed to help some, I found a really good deal on eBay over Christmas and finally bought one.

I have no idea what's going on with my face! I awe at I'm developing cystic acne. I got myself some Aveda outer peace wash and lotion and that's helping a lot. I'm treating myself to a facial this weekend too. I'm sure it will clear up soon. A lot of trauma going from eating like a pig to liquid shakes pre op to the post op diet. My body is probably all jacked up and confused!

I sometimes wonder if it's where the body is getting rid of the junk (through our pores/face) as we are losing weight from going to eating crap (speaking for myself here :)) to eating healthy.

Saw my endo dr Monday and asked her about it and she said, yes, it's hormones. She suggested that if things really get nutty (my word, not hers!) to maybe go on a low-dose birth control pill for a few months just to get things balanced. I'm going to give it one more month. And thanks Lap Band Evangelist for the idea about the clarsonic. I may try that. :)
