  1. Hang in there! Honestly....it took me a few days to be ok with the preop diet. I was only allowed shakes and liquids. I had many moments where I wanted to break but just kept reminding myself that I was fat enough to be approved for the surgery and that spoke to me. Why go through all this for nothing u know? Its hard....some days will be better then others but ull lose so much weight from the preop diet its like motivation from the starting gate ??? I was banded 2/6/13 and started at 242 and today I weigh 207. I have lost 35 pounds in 9 weeks. I never could do that before! Best wishes to u! U can do it!
  2. I feel sort of the same as before the fill but i am also being very cautious and conscious about how i am eating! Lol I go back in 3 weeks for another fill.....i wonder if then it will be more noticeable?
  3. I had my first fill today also! 2ccs Liquids for a day....then back to food which scares me! Lol
  4. Thanks everyone.... I know my doc said if this was easy everyone would do it. And i know nothing worth it ever comes easy. Its just so hard....i feel like i think about food every minute! ???ž I need to stay strong....i worked so hard to get here and dont want to throw it all away. I have less then two weeks til I can eat mushies and i cant wait for that. Just some tuna or egg salad is gonna taste like filet mingon at this point! Lol
  5. Its so hard.....and it sucks cooking for my husband and kids
  6. Just have to vent....it helps.... I am 4 days post op and feeling better but so cranky, irritable and hungry! Being stuck inside bc of the blizzard didnt help either. I know it will get better but when?!? I would never cheat, not that i have come this far but gosh this is hard!
  7. Thanks danielle....mine seems to be about the same as yours. I was just banded on the 6th and being home in this blizzard is sooo hard! My mental hunger is kicking in big time! Lol ahhhhhh
  8. Just curious as to what everyone's post op diet is like?
  9. I was also banded on the 6th and this gas pain sucks!!!! It feels a little better today but, now my port site is super sore. I cant wait to be feeling better and get over this hurdle.
  10. Sweetpea I was banded yesterday too! I also had an hiatal hernia they repaired. I agree that these gas pains suck! Lol wonder how long it will take to go away? Congrats to you.....our journey has officially begun!
  11. I did it! I am officially banded! I gotta say though this gas pain in my shoulders is horrible! I have my gas x and heating pad thanks to the tips I picked up on here but, boy does it hurt! How long does the gas take to go away? I am getting up and walking a lot as I know that helps too. They also found a hiatal hernia when they did the surgery and repaired that as well.

  15. Hi all I am finally having surgery tomorrow! I was originally scheduled for 1/29 and then had to get postponed because of a UTI. Long story short, I never had the UTI. The lab contaminated my specimen and I was forced to retest and everything was perfect. So glad my doctor was able to squeeze me in! I have lost 22 lbs on my preop diet since I wound up on it for an xtra week with the UTI nonesense. Anyone else being banded tomorrow? I am nervous for surgery but cant wait to be on the other side!
