  1. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
  2. I can have 2-4 ounces. Depends on what I'm eating. If it's tuna I can only handle 2 ounces but pureed chili I can eat 4. I'm also not losing. I'm seeing my surgeon today because I'm retaining lots of fluid. Hope he has some answers.
  3. I'm 3 weeks out and I have meltdowns often. My friends that have had the surgery tell me it is normal and will get better. Hang in there!
  4. Go to 'The World of Eggface' website. She has tons of meatless recipes. Search for 'meatless monday'. Hope that helps!
  5. Good luck! Saying a prayer for you!
  6. I eat pureed chili alot! So good!!!
  7. Once you start the pureed phase you will feel full. I was never hungry during the liquid phase but never full either.
  8. What have you tried?? I don't like how it looks either and I'm learning by trial and error what I can eat. Sometimes I can eat certain foods and they next time I try to eat it....can't even stand the smell. Today is the first time I actually got over 70 grams of protein.
  9. Surgery on Thursday....went home Sunday but I had complications. Not with the surgery but with diabetes.
  10. I only did it once. Throwing up, sweating and dizzy. It was over in about 30-45 minutes. But it came on very quick!!
  11. Never used anything I packed. The hospital even provided chapstick!!
  12. I never had any bleeding at all. A tiny bit of drainage, which they said was normal. I would definitely check with the doctor unless someone else says it's normal.
  13. So cute! Hope you guys have a great week!!!
  14. I never had any pain medicine at all. Honestly had no pain. I had some soreness when getting up but that went away in a few days. I know everyone is different but don't stress over the pain....even if you have any it will be over quick! Best of luck!
  15. Oh my! That's gotta be tough but it sure sounds wonderful!
  16. I understand the no sleep and crying! I'm two weeks out and I still have up and down days. But each day it gets better! I promise. I was never in pain but the soreness got better quick. Each day gets easier. Hang in there....just remember it's so gonna be worth all you're going through right now when you see the scale moving down!!!
  17. Yes, that's exactly what they told me today...no more than a 1/2 now. She also said it's important to wait one minute in between bites. Not sure that I wait that long but I do put my fork/spoon down in between.
  18. Tuna with a little mayo. I also had some grilled chicken strips with a little salsa. That's all I've tried so far. Search for "The World of Eggface...pureed foods"...she has TONS of ideas and things I'm planning to try. I was so sick of liquids and cream soups! Very happy to be on pureed foods! The chili made me feel like I was actually eating food again!!!
  19. Oh, I have the same concerns but trust me you will know when you're full. I can really tell when I eat tuna. What other foods have you tried??
  20. I had chili tonight as well and it didn't really feel me up either. But when I eat tuna or chicken I can't eat nearly as much and feel very full!
  21. Hope you feel better. I only had it that one time and they said it was probably related to the smells from cooking for my husband that night. I am extremely sensitive to smells since the surgery. Really hope this passes quickly for you!
  22. I did the same thing with splenda. It was bad!!!
  23. Sounds great! Thanks for the idea.
  24. Glad all is well!!! Take care
