  1. The surgeon makes the decision. Tell him you want sleeve and if you need more, you'll convert it to bypass
  2. Spirit Fire: I wanna come to your house and eat!
  3. You don't have malabsorption with the sleeve. You should take a multi vitamin everyday, whether you have a full stomach or 1/4 of one.
  4. The diet should be no carb. Unless there is like 3-4 in the shake. Should be <30 carbs a day. He will feel crappy and hungry and grouchy and drained and testy.... But it's a small price to pay
  5. You'll be fine. Day 3 is the worst, that's when ur body is like, hey, do you know I don't have food in me!?
  6. I'm allergic to the dermabond dr used
  7. My memorial day consisted of Popsicles chocolate
  8. Kids grilled chicken nuggets with applesauce

  10. Ask ur surgeon or pcp or nut. Find someone good!
  11. Our bodies were not meant to have drinks with food. But it washes food down, fills you more, doesn't make it last as long. It keeps that dense protein in stomach longer and therefore- you're less hungry longer. Listen to your NUT, not your gut... I know listening to my body got me to 273 lbs
  12. It can irritate the sleeve a bit, so like anything else new- take it slow n easy
  13. Sweetie- remember you did just have a major surgery. Relax a bit, walk up and down your road, lounge around, watch tv- get the fluids in. Do walk around- but don't push it
  14. M one week out and these incisions itch like crazy!!! I'm not scratching but omg! My doc doesn't use stitches, but that glue stuff and steri strips over it. What do I do? Wondering if Benadryl will help
  15. Kneels and prays-" Lord let this happen to me!"
  16. A little dangerous, though... But at 1/2 off- I took my chances
  17. Feeling pretty good- went shopping, Goodwill had 1/2 off everything!!! I bought some clothes that are only 1-2 sizes smaller than I am now. I just want something to sort of get started
  18. If ur drinking lots of water, it flushes the sodium, so it turns out ok
  19. I woke up and wanted to get out of bed! I found out then I had a foley and was ticked off. It was uncomfortable and I hated it. Then I was fine
  20. This is faster and easier than a c-section. I took off two weeks. I can go back after 1, I feel great. 2 is perfect though
  21. There is a dreaded three week stall people talk about...
  22. Try fat free lactaid if you have probs.
  23. All I can drink is Unjury, even before surgery. But make sure you do have enough so you won't be running out to get something while you should be taking it easy. I know my NUT let me have full liq, so I bought some Greek yogurt before hand. I had not even thought about soup, so I sent my mom to get some. But it's easiest to stock up
  24. You can so do this, love! Just take one day at a time. If you need something other than water, get crystal light (they even make crystal light energy drink if you need it) and get moving on the treadmill, any little bit will help. You got this!
