  1. I suppose I associate dumping with gastric bypass. That's really different than what sleevers experience. Ours is nothing compared to theirs.
  2. Honesty is best- and if they think ur not ready, it isn't a no... It's a let's help you out, to make you more successful for when u do have surgery
  3. Yeah- I work on a telemetry floor. They put me in the dreaded monitor room because I can't pick anything (or anyone) up. So, it'll be an easy shift
  4. We, as sleevers, do not experience dumping. But I completely understand the thrill of pooping! Bm's are few and far between for us
  5. Just take it one day at a time. You will do just fine. This is something good that you need, and you will not regret it

  7. If say advantage for those who can't til orate protein shakes.... Disadvantage for those who drink protein as a snack. The shakes give you a feeling of substance and eating. That helps with not eating bad junk food

  14. I've seen a few on YouTube. My doc told me 18 months before getting pregnant. The bariatric doc I used to work for said 2years
  15. Caffeine withdrawals? Oh- for electrolytes you can do smart water too.
  16. There's another one I love- its called pouchfriendly on YouTube, so worth looking up
  17. I'm not like distraught, just mildly bummed. I have no problems with water intake since surgery day. I just gotta wait it out and need moral support I guess
  18. On my pre-op diet I went from 273 down to 257 when I got home from the hospital. And I haven't lost any weight since then. I'm averaging about 300 calories a day, I do some walking (about 1/2 mile a day, not much) idk what my body's doing... Rebelling I guess
  19. I sleep in my bed. If the acids reflux is up, I prop myself up
  20. If its gas- walk walk walk. Heartburn, u need to sit up like in a chair n try an antacid that doc hopefully gave you- like a Prilosec. Or go get Zantac n take one or crush one- whatever u gotta do. It will stop. No worries love.
