  1. My dr didn't put any restriction on caffeine at all. He put a 2 month restriction on carbonated beverages. I quit smoking, and my cherry coke zeros for this surgery. I've decided to stay off the carbonated beverages even though my Dr didn't say I could never have them again. It's a slippery slope for me, and I believe starting to drink soft drinks are a "gateway drug" lol. I have one bottle of Water first thing is the morning flavored with the energy Mio, which has caffeine. That's all the caffeine I have during the day now. I would make coffee again but I think it's better for me to get my caffeine from water rather than coffee. Just my opinion.
  2. My surgeon cleared alcohol after two months. He doesn't encourage it because of empty calories.
  3. Smoking can cause gastric ulcers in your little stomach.
  4. So...I'm feeling pretty good, I'm not smoking, I'm down 42lbs, exercising, and I want to start running. Right now I'm on the search for the perfect sports bra, it's a must. Any beginners tips, from experienced runners?
  5. In my opinion, they will never be able to handle it. I think you should be selfish and want better for yourself. It sounds like you've sacrificed for your family for many years before this. I work full time and am married and the mother to 4 children (1-biological and 3 step).
  6. From 236 last week to 234 this week
  7. Good luck to all of you on your upcoming surgeries !!!!
  8. I'm pretty sure you can only update on the site, not app.
  9. I was very emotional at that point post op, I'm still emotional as a matter of fact. I think your melt down was normal. You will feel better once you're loosing weight and feeling great. And remember, you will be able eat anything you want further down the road, just not much of it. Good luck
  10. Best wishes Tabby!! You'll do great! I'll say a prayer for your speedy recovery!
  11. I was going to keep it a secret, but decided against it. Ive been telling everyone. In my opinion it would've wrong to lie to one of my friends, who is in the same boat as me, aka another fat person, but as I stated its just my opinion. Of course, there has been issues with some of my friends, that if I would've lied, wouldn't be issues. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on this issue
  12. Congrats! You look good!
  13. Awesome post, most of them are on my list too! I really can't believe people would make farm animal noises at you! Well I can believe it but it still amazes me people can be so cruel. The one thing I'm looking forward to is being in pictures. I avoid pictures at all cost, because it reminds me of how I really look, not the vision I have of myself in my head. Me and my son go a lot of places and I'm never in pics with him. If friends and I are taking pics together, I always stipulate a head shot only. All in all, I'm hoping my new skinny life helps leave proof I do exist in pictures.
  14. I was cleared to eat anything at 5 weeks, so around that time. Good snack, high Protein low carbs
