  1. Glad to hear you are ok!! I wonder if you could plead with him for a liquid form instead of the pill?! it's so much easier
  2. Don't worry about the drain. Mines came out on day three right before discharge from the hospital. It did not hurt but it was uncomfortable and felt weird. The nurse didn't warn before she started and I didn't know what to expect. Once she saw my face and started moving slower, I was ok.
  3. CALL YOUR SURGEON NOW!!!! also, at this stage my pain med was liquid. You can not handle a pill at this stage.
  4. I was allowed nuts at five months only because I was not meeting my caloric needs. 1-2 oz per day. I usually can handle a handful of peanuts after my mid day protein shake.
  5. that's good! and after being from sugar for so long, having it now might be the reason why you felt that way. Four months after surgery I took a bite of cake. The sugar rush felt like a heart attack. My stomach was upset and it sat with me the whole night. I felt sick and nauseous. The sight of cake grosses me out now:(
  6. add it to a smoothie! great way to get your fruit and protein requirements in one cup:)
  7. yes call your doctor ASAP!! most docs offer a weekend pager number. I hope yours does as well. But I would go back on liquids until I hear from them.
  8. WoW!! this post is so profound! After I read it, I had to sit down and think for a while. And then I read it again. Thank you for sharing your feelings with us. I am looking forward to reading more from you.
  9. that is amazing!! congrats!!
  10. I can not believe my eyes either!!! WHY IS THIS GUY STILL ON THIS???? and where is Administration?! JaspersGirl posted the conve form Alex after he got word that she was "breaking" the rule. Why is it that he is allowed to relentlessly go after her?! This back and forth is past rude at this point!! Why does she have to answer to anyone but administration?! she explained herself to Alex and THAT IS IT!! she does NOT have to explain herself to another soul. JaspersGirl, you clearly have a very rich, busy, balanced, and happy life. Do not let the ugliness if this tread pull you down any longer. Something is very clear in this situation. You are being pushed around by a CYBER BULLY. And shame on administration for not putting an end to this!! We are all adults here(or so I thought) if someone is selling something I WILL DECIDE IF I WANT IT!! I do not need a knight to save me from the evil lord of body wraps, JaspersGirl!!
  11. The restriction is coming. Don't worry. Dense protein like chicken, fish, turkey and beef will make you feel full sooner and sit on your stomach longer. I remember at first, 2 oz of chicken was a full meal for me lol!!
  12. best thing to do is to measure your food! saved my life. I am not sure what your NUT suggested for you, but at six weeks mine was 2-3 oz. I got me a very good scale at Walmart and still weigh my food to this day. I am five months post-op.
  13. You are welcome. I can not stand the idea of this site not being a safe place for me to express myself. I always try to be gentle and kind to every one in here. I would hate to know I caused someone to feel sad or angry. I am here to support, to be supported, to offer and receive advises. If I read something I don't agree with, I offer my opinion. If I see something I don't like, I move on. Simple.
  14. I can not believe this type of behavior is admitted here. She has the right to like a product. First she get reported because it looked like she was selling the product. That is weird. I read a lot of post about people feeling tired and anemic. My doc placed me on a product and within a week felt great improvement. I could barely wait to post the name, along with a picture, of the Iron supplement. Should I be reported? if you tried it with no improvement, does that make me a fraud? We are not always going to agree, but we have to respect each other. Our journey is not going to be the same. What works for me, is not going to work for you. But that does not make me wrong or you right. We are a group of healing addicts. We have society looking at us like weirdos for cutting off a body part just for the sake of losing weight. We share that bound. We should be each others biggest fan and supporters. It makes me sad to read how mean you are to JaspersGirl. Plus as a man, why are being so petty toward a woman?! MAKES NO SENSE!! And I have come across quiet a few of your comments. Always rude, sarcastic and looking for a fight. It's ok... you are among friends....relax, stop being so angry!!! My cousin had the band and lost 125 lbs. She has been heavy for years. Her skin is fantastic. She swears by some weird potion that she applies to her skin. She gave it to me, and my skin is sagging. Am I to bash her?! NO! We are all different. Let us congratulate each other in our success and respect our differences But this bullying got to stop.
  15. Hang in there! it will be all worth it! this has been the best decision ever. My life has changed for the better. I had to give up a lot but I will do it again. My only regret is that I did not do it sooner. I get sad thinking of all the time I lost staying trap under my food addiction.
  16. I had a good month too! I want to reach 250 lbs or below by the end of the year. I think I am going to make it I am losing slowly but surely!!!
  17. So Since I had a giant lost in October, I knew a big stall was sure to come!! I decided not to ruin the happy feeling by beginning to obsess over not losing for the next weeks or so. I have been around too long not to know what was coming lol!! I gave the scale to my mom and will not get it back until 11/22. Until then, I am going to continue eating well, resting, exercising, live life and take plenty of pictures I find it to be more pleasurably anyway
  18. If I was told, I would love Cherry Greek yogurt as much as I loved pizza pre-surgery, I would have laugh. But just like you said, I do!!! I was a bread and pizza addict (4 slices minimum, plus wings, plus breadsticks, plus soda). Now I could care less. Bread makes me feel so bloated after I eat it. And pizza no longer provide me the "happy" feeling from before. And I love being able to eat, and stop. I no longer have to eat my face off. I used to hate having to eat double the amount of every one else on the table and still want more. At times only shame stop me from going for more. I love how I can find myself in other people's post. Make me feel less alone. That is one reason I love this site.
  19. Thank you so much for posting this!! My body is going through the same deal, and crazy enough, I would not dream of going back!! I seem not to care at all about my wings! but I get a little self conscious with my belly. And my girls( I was IN LOVE with them) took a beating lol!!! My plan is to have a baby and get some work done. I will only worry about the two areas that I worry about. My wings I will keep if I have to and will not care. Congrats on your lost:)
