2 Months & 44 Lbs Gone!

It has been awhile since I last posted. It has been 2 months since I have had my surgery and I have lost a total of 44 pounds. I feel great except for the bronchitis I have now. I have enjoyed some halloween candy and had a piece of wedding cake at my sister's wedding I enjoyed both. I no longer like bread all that much or my former favorite pizza. My new favorite treat is greek peach yogurt with walnuts or pecans. I swim often and will be leaving shortly to swim some laps. I am really grateful that my weight loss has been steady and constant. I always lose at least a pound a week if not more. I eat when I am hungry and it is very easy to stop when I am full. I am grateful that being obsessed with food seems to be over. I have more time to obsess over facebook, reading, swimming and music. Life is really good except for the bronchitis and finances but other than that everything is wonderful.

If I was told, I would love Cherry Greek yogurt as much as I loved pizza pre-surgery, I would have laugh. But just like you said, I do!!! I was a bread and pizza addict (4 slices minimum, plus wings, plus breadsticks, plus soda). Now I could care less. Bread makes me feel so bloated after I eat it. And pizza no longer provide me the "happy" feeling from before.

And I love being able to eat, and stop. I no longer have to eat my face off. I used to hate having to eat double the amount of every one else on the table and still want more. At times only shame stop me from going for more.

I love how I can find myself in other people's post. Make me feel less alone.

That is one reason I love this site.

I get sleeved in 3 days, and I'm excited and nervous both! I can't wait to not feel hungry for the things that are bad for me! I'm on my L.Q. diet, and the whole rest of my family just ate pizza for supper tonight! It was so hard NOT to have pizza too, but I didn't! I drank my protein shake like a good pre-sleeve patient. I got to say though, I felt kind of resentful to my family that they would eat PIZZA in front of me! They don't have a clue how hard this is! They all eat what ever they want! I just keep telling myself, "Nothing taste as good as being thin is going to feel"! You gals all keep up the good work, and thanks for being an inspiration to me! :)

Just had my sleeve this past Wednesday so I am 4days post op...doing really well I think I am suffering from some what if thoughts...it's scary right now because I feel hungry and want to eat all the time but I m on the liquid diet. I was really hoping I wouldn't feel hungry . I'm sure a lot of it is head hungry. Can't wait till I get to purée foods.. How was it for you did you feel hungry? Just hoping that this will go away

I felt super hungry too, I thought I would never feel hunger as much after the surgery but I actually feel hungry a lot more now because I am not constantly eating all the time. I now eat about every two to three hours. The obession with food is almost gone I have moments but food isn't the center of my life anymore. It gets better.
