Sleeved may 17th and down 21 lbs however, I was in the hospital 4 days on day 4 for infection so iv meds and sickness I'm sure had much to do with it.

I had ice Chips day 2, and my dr ordered chamomile tea warm . He said It relaxes the stomach muscles and promoted healing! Try apple juice, water, and pop sickles. I was do thirsty all I wanted was water and ice chips.

I'm two weeks post op tomorrow. I started mushies yesterday and am not feeling any better. I stay weak and thirsty and all I do is sip sip sip!

I live in florida and today the high was 92. I dot do much in the summer unless it involves water or air conditioning. I just left my sons pre k graduation and my hair was soaken wet and forehead pouring beads of water. I cannot wait to be COLD! I also sweat so bad at night that my covers have to be changed almost daily. They smell so bad. I always thought it was a hormone issue but I'm really hoping this resolves as it interfere with my life daily.

Omar use to work under Trish...he is probably using the same forms Trish used! Sad... I just had surgery with Dr. Ponce and he is awesome. His record is clean and he loves what he does. Trish also is a blessing. She was there for me through the entire journey. From the time I arrived to even today checking on me! Without her we Would have been lost! Choose carefully!

How long should it take to drink a protein shake? Il

I can't seem to get down more than one protein shake a day. I'm almost two weeks post op and even just drinking water gives me that worst indigestion. I'm on prilosec twice daily and I feel no difference. At times I could vomit. What am I Doing wrong?

I didn't want to be seen and I also cared what others thought. My fiancé use to get so angry with me. He loved me that way and so should everyone else. He did not understand that I didn't feel good enough and that I was always being judged. My ex is verbally abusive and that started getting to me as well. I am 12 days out and down 21 lbs. Melissa d, I was sleeved on may 17 and just got out of the hospital with an infection in my main middle incision. I had the worst pain. Fever hit me day 4 and I was in the er. It was high. The surgeon had to cut me back open and clean my infection. 3 days of iv antibiotics, and home on another. My incision is Prob 3 inches deep mo Joke and wide open. I was also dehydrated and low potassium and all I did was sip sip sip! Hope for your sake it's not an infection. Keep us posted. This has been a very hard time for me and my family but I'm thankful it wasn't serious or life threatening!

I cannot think of anything that qualified for this stage except some cream soups. I need to take advantage of this stage to test my tummy and get some nutrients.

I start pureed foods Tuesday and am looking for more than a few ideas other than chicken salad, tuna salad, and soups...... Anything would help. I also start back to work the same day so things I can pack would be great as well.

I don't Plan on bread for a long time but i couldn't help but wonder why they say no bread. I can see how it will swell. I'm sticking to my diet exactly but thinking ahead! Lol

What's the reason my surgeon said to avoid bread? Would kill for a turkey sandwich about right now. This Jello, pudding, pop sickles, and broth is REALLY old!!!'

Have you had any bowel movements? If not a blockage could be dangerous. I would def call your surgeon or go to er.

Sleeved on may 17th, home Monday the 21st, at the hospital that night with high fever. Ended up being infection of incision. Surgery tues to clean infection, home thurs night. This has been one heck of a ride. Still have fever just taking meds as I should and praying this is gone entirely with no relapse! For those considering this surgery go for it just prepare for complications. I've cried daily at the stress I've caused my family. I feel guilty that i can't do anything much to help while I watch my fiancé stress and get overwhelmed! Ugh bright side I've lost 15 lbs.

Im on full liquids and next is pureed but curious how some of you introduce real food?

I had a bad infection after surgery in my main incision just home yesterday. The Drs ran more test to check for leak but was told if I had one I would be DEATHLY Ill! There would be no question! So they knew to focus elsewhere. I'm 8 days post op and finally eating!

I just got home Monday from Tijuana! It was more than safe! The people that live there say to Not take independent cabs, always ones from your hotel and don't got out after dark! We went shopping and ate out. My fiancé and another husband ate out all three meals. It's actually a nice town. People are nice. Even the ones that live there follow these two rules.

I work for Gastroenerology and he was consulted for me while in hosp. He just said he reviewed all ct's and Dr Ponce did excellent work. He wants more info to pass along to his patients!!! I have a very normal infection. My step dad had 3 back surgeries and all eneded up abscessed. This is just a minor delay and I will be home and healthy soon!

Started running fever sunday night. By Monday it was too high to ignore. The dr's found an infection just under main incicsion. My potassium is low and I'm a little dehydrated. I drank and drank so I'm not sure how that happened. Dr. Ponce is a great surgeon and this can happen to anyone. I had antibiotic shots starting right before my surgery until I left hospital.
